I had a game session completely fail on me once while playing, dropping me back to the Stadia home screen on the TV. That last-minute addition is worth remembering because it goes to show you what Google can do - namely, it can, at a whim, optimize and launch a whole bunch of games for the service.

Stadia is Google’s gaming platform that lets you instantly play your favorite video games on screens you already own. On both mobile and desktop, your home screen is essentially all the games you have in your collection with the top-most game the game that you played last. This means you can literally play stadia anywhere, as long as you have that connection, just like Netflix.

Google has since rolled back their commitment to developing first-party games for Stadia themselves, but they still plan to publish titles from other developers on the platform.
