Weekend Roundup

As well as Richard Gildea and the club in Hill Climb competition, a lot of other members of the club were participating in a wide range of cycling events over the weekend:

Dan’s riding is also rubbing off on his son Balin who finished 3rd in the balance bikes category for 2-4 year olds, I don’t think it was for 12 hours riding though 🙂

National 10 mile TT
Richard Harrison competed in the RTTC NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 10 mile TT race in Leicestershire on Saturday, Richard finished in a time of 21m 50s and taking a commendable 77th spot. Full results.

Fairly United 10 mile TT
Phil Brown continues his strong vein of form taking 2nd spot in the Fairly United TT on the H10/17r course. Phil’s time of 20m 21s was a PR for the course. Also in action for the club was Neil Morris who clocked 23m 07s for 21st and TT secretary Robert Briggs who came 32nd in 23m 55s, and also Mick Fountain who took part in the fixed gear Category home in 37m 05s. Full Results here, and here.

DPCC also had 2 teams entered in the testing 20km 2-up event run by TT legend Glen Longland in Braishfield, Hampshire. Simon McGowan and Martin Stanley finished 4th, with Nick Druce and Simon Evans picking up 6th.  Awaiting Results.
