I have done a forum search and a number of people have said 'don't bother', while others have said 'use Dinitrol/Supertrol?'
So why am I sharing this, well just to advise caution if you think that a chassis is in good condition because it has been waxoyled, in my case this was definitely not so… all it served to do was mask the rust gremlins that are our very worst enemy. When i started to scrape off my Waxoyl late last year to treat chassis with POR15, i found that water had got in under the Waxoyl & it was actually preventing the moisture from draining away from the chassisI've looked at various ways inc the waxoyl high pressure sprayer & also thought about using a paraffin gun with my compressor or even buying a schultz gun. Long term, it forms a semi-solid skin of wax (demi-semi-solid in average Scottish temperatures) under which rust continues.
