About this deal

There are a number of methods available to treat Parasitic Mites, and just as many opinions on what is best. This thread is based on my own thoughts and opinions, as well as reasoning behind those thoughts. I hope people see it for what it is, rather than being offended. Lin, L.-Z & Zhang, Y.-Z. 2000. Bdelloidea, 9. In: Huang BK (Ed) Fauna of Insects in Fuijan Province of China. Fujian Sciences and Technology Press, Fuzhou, pp. 109-121. Altitudes for most species of this genus are not given. However, those recorded vary between 124 m to 1300 m (Kalúz & Vrabec 2013; Kalúz et al. 2014; Kalúz & Starý 2018). Armascirus apophysis Chen & Jin n. sp. was found at altitudes 2628 m and A. yulongensis Chen & Jin n. sp. at altitude 3230 m. This implies that members of this genus may be adaptable to all altitudes. The symptoms listed earlier will help you know when to take your pet snake to the vet. The veterinarian will send the fecal sample to the laboratory or examine the sample under a microscope to confirm the type of worms. The diagnosis will help in deciding the treatment method for these worms. Treatment of worms in snakes Treat all the snakes in the infected area directly for the mites. The little bastards move more than you think.

Ban any fur bearing animals from the area, and wash clothing immediately. I personally believe, the damn things came from a show on our clothing. And migrated around the house the same way. Skvarla, M.J., Fisher, J.R. & Dowling, A.P.G. 2014. A review of Cunaxidae (Acariformes, Trombidiformes): Histories and diagnoses of subfamilies and genera, keys to world species, and some new locality records. ZooKeys, 418: 1-103. doi:10.3897/zookeys.418.7629 DO NOT exceed the specified number of applications per calendar year.More than two applications of Taurus SC per calendar year can be made only if applied according to one of the following frequency and dilution rate application scenarios. The use directions include up to four (4) applications per year at the 0.03% dilution rate for outside surfaces and along the foundation perimeter of listed structures. As you can see from the list below, there are multiple species of mites that affect snakes. Some more widespread than others, but all having similar symptoms. Abnormal behavior or a decline in body condition will be the first thing you notice when your snake is affected by intestinal worms. When you see either of these, look closely and observe your snake for any of the following symptoms:

Here are 7 good reasons why you should ditch the chemicals and use Taurrus predators instead. 1. Mites can cause serious health problems Thor, S. 1902. Zur Systematik der Acarinenfamilien Bdellidae Koch, 1842, Grube 1859, Eupodidae Koch, 1842 und Cunaxidae Sig Thor, 1902. Verhandllungen der kaiserlich-kongiglichen zoologish-botanischen Gesellschaft in Wien, 159-165. Shortly after the last Donny show (June) I spotted mites on one of my Royals, and another, and another - presumably some hitched a lift with me from the show - no biggie, it happens, but I have to be a little careful with throwing chemicals around in my rep room due to the inverts, so was planning on using my previously tried and tested method, of Frontline Spot-on capsules. After waiting two weeks for some to arrive in the post, i went to treat my snakes the following weekend... but there were no mites to be found!! Apparently my infestation (confirmed on three snakes, suspected on several others) had cleared its self up, with no intervention from me. I've waited until now to speak about it to make sure it wasnt just a trough before a peak in numbers - but nearly 3 months down the line, and nothing - something has broken their life cycle... and it wasn't me. Please do not use Taurrus within 2 weeks of using a chemical product. When Will I Need To Replace The Taurrus?
