About this deal

It is easy to connect several devices to the speaker and switch between them. We love how the speaker includes all necessary cables. Use the RCA to 3.5mm cable to connect mobiles or tabs to the speaker. You can connect TV or CD players to the speaker via optical port. Bluetooth shows stable performance and you can connect any Bluetooth enabled device including mobile, laptop, etc. Many people start their high-fidelity journey as a cash-strapped student. It was when I was in high school that I become entranced by high fidelity music, but finances were limited to that generated by eight hours per week as a shop assistant. Value was paramount then, which is why I wish there had been something around like Monitor Audio’s new Bronze 50 loudspeaker! Both the 200 and 500 are 2.5-way designs. The 200 weighs 12.8kg and measures 166 x 886 x 265mm. It teams a 25mm C-CAM gold dome tweeter with a brace of 140mm C-CAM mid/bass drivers to achieve a claimed frequency range of 45Hz to 25kHz (-6dB). The 500’s squatter proportions are largely down to the extra girth of its 205mm main drivers. Thanks to that extra driver real estate, it reaches down to a claimed 25Hz with a sensitivity rating of 90dB as opposed to the 200’s 88dB. The 25mm C-CAM gold dome tweeter is shared between the two models. Though those Dynaudios have more in the way of verve and rhythmic drive, but there’s still enough of both to make the Monitor Audios an enjoyable listen. for at this price point. In fact, it is the one speaker that remains from our 2015 bookshelf speaker round-up article.

The Bronze 50s, despite their own excellent presentation, don’t have the same tonal balance as the Bronze 100s. The latter added a certain presence to the music that the 50s struggled to generate. vs Wharfedale 12.1 The speaker has very easy setup that will take few minutes to complete. doesn’t come with any mobile app or remote control. The control options like volume button is located on the rear side so it might be a bit difficult to reach it. It also doesn’t have any option to switch between inputs. When connected to PC, it will easily work with any need of additional software or app. Featuring Monitor Audio’s famous C-CAM Gold Dome tweeters, the sound is every bit as crisp as you’d expect from this premium design. The latest developments add a UD (Uniform Dispersion) waveguide for a more focused and precise sound. Now featuring MA’s signature, hexagonal pattern grille, the tweeters look better than ever, too.Start with the speakers placed around 30cm out from the rear wall and experiment from there. It’s worth angling them towards the listening position to focus the stereo imaging, but not so much that the boxes are directly pointing at you. Monitor Audio suggests aiming the tweeters so that they cross around a metre or so behind the listener. That works well for us. Our Installation Service only includes connecting to existing points and fixings. This does not include installing or moving plumbing, connection points or electrics. Installing new points or moving existing points is the customer’s responsibility we can recommend local tradesmen however this will be at the customer’s expense and we not accept any liability for their work. Edifier R1280DB are a pair of good-looking speakers. They are a bit larger than PC speakers but smaller than regular sized bookshelf speakers. The drivers are covered by dustproof speaker grille that displays a bright silver line in the middle. There is a LED light on the speaker that indicates power, Bluetooth or input. The wooden cabinet ensures resonance-free sound. The problem is not many people have heard the new series but i could save some money at the same time and get the old ones not sure what the best thing to do any help would be appreciated.

Speakers at this level have a difficult job. They have to be unfussy enough to sound good with micro systems while at the same time having enough transparency to make the best of pricier mid-priced electronics. That’s a tough balance that Monitor Audio has traditionally managed well. In the vast majority of cases we will not be able to install the cabinet doors to built-in laundry products as the fittings very rarely match up. We will try our best however if we are unable to do this we will still install connect to plumbing and put the appliance in situ. And here, when you bring in a pair of Bronze 50 speakers, the next models down in terms of price and also in terms of size, you hear that reduction in mass and bulk. The music almost shrinks before your eyes and ears. The emotion was still there but its impact was less significant now because the speakers drew on a smaller well of information. It’s a bit like talking to something and gaining clues from their body language as to how they’re really feeling. The Bronze 50s provided fewer clues in emotional terms. That bass never masked all of this information was a credit to the Bronze 100 design. What bass did, in fact was add bulk to those instruments that had it: guitars, keyboard-based instruments and more. Even vocals now and more from the chest rather than the throat only. But more than that, there’s a crispness and airy clarity to its performance that’s rare among its price peers, especially in the context of the speaker’s easy-breathing largesse, which makes for a distinctive and enjoyable mix of attributes. As has been a feature of previous Bronze models, detail retrieval is strong but so well integrated into the larger musical picture that it never lapses into dry analysis.

Despite the Wharefedale’s offer plenty of information and an excellent suite of detail, the Bronze 100 speakers created a larger soundstage to work from so there was more space for the instruments to work within which meant they felt a little less cramped. The 12.1 speakers didn’t feel cramped when you listened to them in isolation, I hasten to add but when compared to the Bronze 100s the 12.1s suddenly sounded a little constricted. The Bronze 100 speakers sounded bigger and bolder and tended to work with a bounce and a jump and their arms outstretched and full of the joys of Spring. In terms of the nitty gritty, the 15i speakers provided a higher resolution sound when compared to the Bronze 100s. There was more focus, more precision and a greater sense of accuracy from the Martin Logans. Hence the mids from an acoustic guitar here offered more twang and metallic crispness while the bass had greater impact and tonal balance. You can add Klipsch subwoofer or choose from another brand like the Pioneer Elite SW-E10. In terms of placement, place the speaker such that the tweeter remains at your ear level. The user manual gives a detailed image about speaker placement showing where to place center, sub and other speakers in a theater. If you are using it as front speakers, place them 6-12’ apart.

Sound Quality

Hifi News had very different tone for Bronze 100 including measurements which shows fairly flat response nearfield. Audioengine A2+ has woofer and tweeter in it. It is suitable for music, movies and games. Voices are crystal-clear and the soundstage is good. It can deliver natural sound that is closer to the original recording. Bass is quite good and remains enjoyable for most contents. In case you are a bass head, an external subwoofer is best for you. We move to Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake and the 50s' lovely staging and focus comes to the fore. The imaging is precise, nicely layered and stable, and the sound projects well clear of the speaker cabinets.
