Although I'm 6ft 4 inch tall and weigh 18 stone, and the wide version would be more spacious, I've only ever had normal sized bedchairs so the standard C-tech should suit me just fine. I take it that your mate has the standard solar bedchair rather than the wide version. I'm pretty sure my trakker sleeping bag is the 365 (it's about 20 years old now so must be one of the original ones but boy is it comfy).
