Recorded at Hive Mind Studios in Brooklyn, NY, with the help of producer/arrangers Mike Buckley and Vincent Chiarito (both members of Charles Bradley's Extraordinaires) and crack team of a-list musicians, his upcoming album blends heavy arrangements and introspective lyrics with sophistication, leaving the listener in a blissful wash of wonderment. The pressing is actually one of the cleanest I’ve ever purchased with zero background noise, not a hint of any tracking issues, no excess vinyl material, no label issues, and no warp.

Indie exclusive 3LP: each LP is a different color, transparent coke bottle clear, transparent cobalt, and transparent ruby vinyl. To build it out I asked Malcolm’s family to send me bits and pieces from his childhood, scenes from the town where he grew up, objects, toys from his room—little pieces of his life that I extrapolated outwards and used to inspire the story.

Miller produced most of Faces himself and moved towards creating more psychedelic and jazzy instrumentals for his increasingly dark lyrical themes. A routinely great artist, much of Sufjan's universal appeal comes from his skills as a gifted narrator, pairing personal musings on love and devotion with commentary on American culture, whilst welding folk and electronica, the ambient and existential. Sound is great, vinyl is flat and quiet, but I'm surprised anyone is gushing over packaging/ presentation.
