The Goody Plus follows directly in the footsteps of the original Goody pushchair, which was an incredibly popular model loved by parents. Overall I didn’t find this a big deal, and I loved that it’s one solid handlebar rather than two handles but that’s just my preference. Whilst we have a generously sized car boot, our baby’s usual Egg carrycot and stroller take up the whole boot, so the ability to get the Chicco stroller in the boot and leave enough room for changing bag and wellies was really impressive! I found it easier to put the stroller in first and then pack the bags around it, and once the Zest was in place there was a good amount of space left to fill with other items, but obviously some of these had to be removed if I wanted to take the stroller out again.

It’s worth mentioning that there is no adjustment available on the handlebar and that it is fixed at 105cm. It was a struggle negotiating any kind of kerbs or drops, so whilst we set out to use the stroller on the bus, we ended up folding it down and carrying it until we had finished our journey. We had quite a bulky pushchair before, so this looked like a very promising lightweight little stroller. The colour of the hood and the seat did not fade or show any signs of wear or tear during our two week ‘road’ test, and judging by the lack of complaints coming our sons, they found the seat comfortable.My partner is 5ft9 and he thought the handlebar was an ideal height, whereas, I, on the other hand, am 5ft 1 and would have preferred the handlebar a little lower. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m completely clueless when it comes to building anything, I’ll quickly scan the instructions, and then my partner will take over! If you go for something too sweet, you might feel a little uncomfortable by the end, because trust us you'll be feeling more than just a little full by the third course. This meant it was perfect for when I dropped my eldest son, Eric, off at nursery as I could take my newborn, Arthur, out of his sling and put him in the seat once Eric had been dropped off. When you see what you get for your money with the Chicco London Winter Stroller, it’s hard not to be impressed. I will have to start with the fact that, with such a simple buggy, a umbrella stroller will get loose and wobbly over time with a string from the kid board attached to the rear - this stroller was not designed to be used with one. Upright- suitable for toddlers and older children, this was the setting we used when our four-year-old was in the stroller.

The newer version of the Chicco Goody essentially gives parents the flexibility to carry smaller children and babies in the stroller without forking out for an extra travel system. There is sadly no peephole which isn’t ideal for smaller children and it’s one of the reasons our baby didn’t spend much time in the stroller. It’s sturdy and I felt as if everything underneath was secure, especially at the back where there’s more of a sturdier side to it. I would suggest a bit of stroller maintenance here, meaning oiling, checking for anything in the way.
