About this deal

Absolutely love this one. For me, it's like the smell of extra spicy cola syrup and something that comes together like sandalwood, touched up with something gorgeously floral -- I'm guessing it's mainly the angelica -- all while remaining confidently masculine. It's clean/spicy/woody/flowery/musky/sweet, calming, just a bit mysterious and wonderfully balanced. Can't speak to projection or sillage, but I can tell you it lasts at least long enough to enjoy your own scent for several hours. As good as this stuff smells, that's more than enough for me.

Do you want a perfume that smells strictly of vanilla or has a faint whisper of sweetness from a vanilla note? If the vanilla notes in your perfume are in the foundation with eight other base notes, it likely won’t have that strong of a vanilla scent. But on the other hand, if you want to really smell the vanilla, look for a perfume with only a few other notes throughout, one that only includes one or two other base notes, or that includes vanilla in the middle or opening. You can also look for a vanilla perfume that combines a few types of vanilla, like vanilla orchid or vanilla bourbon. Decide on the typeSo because I’m obsessed with perfumes, I did the very hard work of going through all of my fragrances (all 89 of them—for real) to compile a full list of the absolute best vanilla perfumes I’ve ever tested. I found summer scents, cheap perfumes, new perfumes, and long-lasting fragrances that all have a vanilla note—and not all of them are sweet, tbh! Peep all of my faves here: In both cases they are perfectly balanced, dominated by cinnamon, pepper, amber, wood, and then some mint. And, yes maybe a touch of rose. On my skin the patcholi gets more noticeble at the dry down. Spicy-woody on the fresh side, and has character at the same time. Almost alluring. The fragrance opens amber-warm, sweet and peppery. The sweetness is very boozy, as if you're sniffing a bourbon. As the sweetness slowly fades away (not completely) the woody and spicy notes come into play. It's still peppery. It remains like this throughout the heart. To my experience this is also where the fragrance just dies, as if there's no base. This almost feels more like an accord than an actual fleshed-out scent to me. It smells like listening to music with a low pass filter, like all the brightness and higher pitched sounds are muffled out with warm fleece blankets, or like listening to drums with earplugs in; you feel the sound more than you hear it. All the sharp edges of the notes in here are completely smoothed over. There's a puff of cinnamon but its definitely not the spicy red hots variety; This cinnamon has been gently steeped in a glass of warm milk. Theres the faintest little snippet of patchouli, but its the friendliest and absolute most agreeable iteration possible and its used so subtly that you could completely miss it if you weren't looking. Ultimately the cashmere wood seems to be the predominant player here, and it's beige-y fuzziness dominates 99% of the wear time. A range of professional grade extra strong fragrances perfect for all home fragrancing and bath and body products including candles, soaps, wax melts, bath bombs, reed diffusers and more.

Potion Perfume for Women, Eau de Parfum 50ml Miss So…? Love Potion Perfume for Women, Eau de Parfum 50ml

Update: I had the privilege to test both the Edt and the Edp head to head. The Edp on one wrist and the Edt on the other. One spray each. The first minutes of sharp openings are nothing to be exited about, but when they settle down, the quality shines. The Edp is more powerful and full-bodied for about one hour and a half, as You might expect. Then they are more equal for about five hours. Potion is a strong mix of cinnamon, cashmere wood and amber in the opening. This woody spicy salvo is so great and comes off almost a bit boozy. This rich opening is then given a bit of freshness from a dose of mint and angelica and this really plays up the cashmere wood, the evolution of these notes really gives this scent a much needed complexity, and save this scent from becoming something too linear. Some pepper and musk appear and give this scent a masculine punch, the patchouli and florals form a nice earthy, sweet transition to the clean, sweet base of this scent. I put this on in the morning at 8:30. Later in the day (at 2:30) I sprayed Aramis over it, and yet 6 hours later as I write this, there is still a noticeable cinnamon smell upon myself, so it's been far from drowned out by the strong Aramis (which is strong!). I had the same experience wearing Kouros in the afternoon after applying Potion in the morning. Potion is wearable easy to like and a nice not costly choice for fall& cooler spring nights and even winter days but it's not really memorable..it can be used everywhere and by both mom's & girls..it's stays for about 4hours on my skin(much longer on clothes)and sillage is good when first applied but in about ten minutes reduces to moderate and then soft to moderate.it's versatile and easy to wear and can be a safe gift for alot of people. I see it as a good choice for someone who has always used simple pink fruity florals and now whats to step a bit further and get to know more complex, sexier fragrances without facing much difficulty in adapting Cinnamon is a very interesting note in perfumery. It's widely used and especially popular in the oriental category. It is, however, one of the most misleading notes aswell. Essential cinnamon oil has a very lush, deep and heavily oily smell mostly derived from cinnamalaldehyde. Perfumers usually embrace only the high pitch and spicy side of the oil leaving out the creaminess and substituting it with the likes of vanilla and leather. In this particular perfume however Mrs. Menardo has taken a whole different direction:Potions were used for healing or treating illnesses, but also for their aphrodisiac effects, and even as poison (with the intent to cause harm or even kill). Love potions were usef for making someone fall in love with someone, and sleeping potions to cause long-term or eternal sleep. What is a potion maker called? Winter, it's very cold outside and you are inside with the loved ones right by the fireplace sipping on some hot wine just a tip of cinnamon. Chill, calm, peaceful, fulfilled. This is what Potion makes me feel like. Scentwise: very unique; a quite resinous amber (not too sweet as that one from the vanilla side is), just a touch of musk (not animalic at all) and quite enough cinnamon (not that kind which almost makes your nostrils hurt, but quite a sweet one) making it a great oriental fragrance. A tinctures is made using a base of alcohol, typically with herbs or plant extracts that then release their healing properties. The difference between a tincture and an elixir is that an elixir carries a sweetener, most of the time, honey. Both a tincture and an elixir seek to cure a disease or extend the person’s life. What is a love potion? Edp: Scent: 9/10, Sillage 6/10, Longevity 10/10, Versatility: 9/10. Total: 34/40. (Perfectly balanced, spicy-woody on the fresh side, great scent, high quality!)
