About this deal

This is really my go-to sound on here. I just love how it all meshes together to give me something almost ethereal to listen to when I'm trying to focus. The combination of the water and bubbles, the almost chorus like ringing, the quiet chanting voice, all of it just comes together to make it an easy choice for me. The sounds of this Magic Generator coalesce to form one amazing and soothing atmosphere. I'm a digital artist, and this really helps me focus and create art. The sounds of the singing, the whispering, the soft and mystical noises... It's all so amazing. Every time I listen to this I hope to hear the sirens. Sometimes I don't hear their voices, and sometimes I do. It's magical.

I absolutely love Mermaids Calling; this mix makes me feel like the main character in a deep underwater fantasy! Definitely worth the donation!! <3 This is a fantastically eerie yet relaxing soundscape, especially with the Himalayan Voices and Evil Charm in the mix. It feels like the perfect ambient audio for exploring a creepy, watery cave in a video game. Thank you, Dr. Pigeon, for your time and talents. Who done it? Top crime writers gather for a game of Cluedo during Book Week". Daily Record . Retrieved 10 April 2023. The main difference between mermaids and Sirens is that the latter are predators, killers, and dangerous creatures. Seducing men with their voices and bodies. Mermaids may not necessarily kill men, like Sirens do.

The Mermaids Singing ( 1995) is a crime novel by Scottish author Val McDermid. [1] The first featuring her recurring protagonist, Dr. Tony Hill, [2] it was adapted into the pilot episode of ITV1's television series based on McDermid's work, Wire in the Blood, starring Robson Green and Hermione Norris. Conwy Town Hall, which stood on the spot where the mermaid is said to have perished, burned down in 1966. The library built over its ruins also perished by fire. Both times, it’s said that the mermaid’s silver-toned laughter was heard coming from inside the fire. The Spurned Mermaid of Dunnet Bay Compose a song that the singing mermaid might sing. You could use a song from The Little Mermaid as inspiration.

I have never been diagnosed with ADHD, but I truly feel like I do. This really helps me. Thanks myNoise One of the best, most beautiful and relaxing sound of myNoise. I usually don't like trebles but these appease me. Absolutely magical. I love the way that the siren song is variable in sound; it fades in and out so you can appreciate just the sound of the water, enjoy it altogether, and get these really lovely siren songs by themselves too. It doesn't feel like an audio loop, it feels like each second is truly unique! The Mermaids Singing was awarded the Crime Writers' Association Gold Dagger for Best Crime Novel of the Year. [10] Wow, it sounds like the merpeople's song from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, but with more waves. This sounds so cool! Mermaid sightings in the UK are often attributed to seals and superstition, but that’s not the whole story. The folk of the sea – both feared and revered – are an entrenched part of British folklore. It’s time to talk about how mermaid mythology still exerts a tidal pull on this windswept island. God, I'm in love with this one. It got me to actually stop feeling terrible and study. It's also super soothing for falling sleep, especially because I love the ocean and the whole idea of sirens at sea. Angelica, the transgender murderer in The Mermaids Singing, is intended by McDermid as a subversion of and commentary on this gendered pattern; [4] with her graphic descriptions of what Winter Elliott calls "violence exhibited on male bodies, bodies open and exhibited to the reader", McDermid reverses common patterns in crime fiction of the objectification of female bodies. [5]

This is unbelievable. Hats off to the people who made this - I absolutely love it. Completely magical, we could all use some of this in our lives! Gregoriou, Christiana, ed. (2012). Immediately, the eerie voices seem strange. Then the first big wave hits and emotion follows. I'm not a meditator in any sense but an hour later I wake up from a state between asleep and awake having been through a journey of memories and vivid imaginations. I am now more clear about my goals and ready to pursue them. myNoise has become my calming escape where I recharge and reassess. The first mermaid was an ancient Syrian goddess. In 1000 b.c., Atargatis (pictured above) dove into a lake with the desire to become a fish after accidentally killing a human shepherd she loved. Instead, she retained her human form from the waist up but her bottom half transformed into the tail of a fish. On a final note, consider this: perhaps the real mermaid isn’t the one the folklore tales speak of, but the one looking out at the water, looking for a sign. With all those tales of interbreeding among finfolk and humans, perhaps it’s brine that runs through your veins, though you may not know it. Absolutely amazing! I love the sea and underwater generators the most (alongside with many of the tonal drones and maybe my new favorite: Circular Breeze) and this to me is the perfect combination.

Love this generator! I'm playing it alongside Folk Tradition and it sounds like mermaids singing off the shores of Scotland. Very foreboding and moody, so far my favorite pairing. Normally you’ll see carvings of saints in churches, but when you visit the church of Zennor in Cornwall you’ll notice a wooden seat carved with a long-haired mermaid holding a mirror in one hand and a comb in the other. The ocean is inextricably linked to the lives of the island residents, and Clift's language personifies it as another character: “The sea doesn’t care. If she can’t kill them, or doesn’t choose to, she will probably bend one of their legs just a little to show who has command of the situation.” What is undeniable is the resilience of the people; they have very little, yet from such meagre resources every last drop is squeezed. And they suffer: abundance of spirit goes hand in hand with the depths of despair. Aquatic Habitation - Sirens can survive and adapt to underwater environments such as high water pressure and extreme water temperatures.
