More IMAX cameras were used for Interstellar than for any of Nolan's previous films. To minimize the use of computer-generated imagery (CGI), Nolan had practical locations built, such as the interior of a space shuttle. [27] Van Hoytema retooled an IMAX camera to be hand-held for shooting interior scenes. [9] Some of the film's sequences were shot with an IMAX camera installed in the nose cone of a Learjet. Other than that, my main frustration has been that we were unable to make my book available earlier, and that so many people in the first week or two were commenting about the science of the film without having the benefit of the book. Mendelson, Scott (October 27, 2014). "Review: 'Interstellar' Gets Lost In Space". Forbes. Archived from the original on October 27, 2014 . Retrieved October 27, 2014. To a great extent, my motivation here was to try to use the movie as a lure to get people who might otherwise not have much interest in science curious about it, by exposing them to strange, exotic phenomena like wormholes. The film is the bait, and the book is the hook I want to use to draw them in even further, to get them to dig in and learn something new. If they are young, maybe they will consider careers in science rather than in finance or law. If they are older, I still think it’s tremendously important that larger fractions of our citizenry possess enough understanding of science to appreciate its powers and its limitations. It’s given me a deeper appreciation of just how much work has gone in to legitimizing the plot of the film.Kramer, Miriam (May 13, 2014). "New 'Interstellar' Book Will Go Behind the Scenes of Sci-Fi Film". Space.com. Archived from the original on July 14, 2014 . Retrieved July 11, 2014. How rational is it to risk the future of humankind on the assumption that future scientists will make some unknown discoveries? Most of the presidents, ministers and CEOs who run the world are very rational people. Why are they willing to take such a gamble? Maybe because they don’t think they are gambling on their own personal future. Even if bad comes to worse and science cannot hold off the deluge, engineers could still build a hi-tech Noah’s Ark for the upper caste, while leaving billions of others to drown.

It made my feels go crazy, it blew my mind, it was so realistic... In summary, it was brilliant. The cast was great, the effects were amazing, the music (by the Zimmer King) was astounding. The director, Christopher Nolan (the one of the amazing Batman trilogy), did an amazing job. I tell you, this one was an epic movie. Verrier, Richard (November 27, 2013).
