About this deal

A girl who was brought up in the world of crime, yearning to be normal. Daisy is SO badass.' (FIVE STARS) i loved seeing daisy and magnolia form a friendship that was honestly so precious. UGH MAGNOLIA IS JUST SO PERFECT💞💞 (im in love w her idc ADD ME TO THE ROSTERRR) I had some expectations for this and none of them were met. Truly made me feel nothing, absolutely nothing. I hated how long they stayed together after Daisy realized they weren't gonna work. It was just annoying. The only good thing that came out of this relationship was the stand off in the bar. That was a great scene.

Oh boy. I'm not even sure where to begin. This was one of my most anticipated releases and it's very upsetting when something doesn't live up to expectations. Truthfully, I started to get a bit nervous about this book once the "promo" for it started, but we will get there. Let's just dive in. Bear with me this is my first time writing a review. I had A LOT to say and this was the only format I could thing to get it all out. This book didn’t give us anything new from MP2, and the plot was pretty much nonexistent. The first 80% was extremely drawn out, with all the action in the last 20%. The mafia bits felt thrown in and strung together to provide a reason for the hit, but it could have been executed better. I feel like Jessa Hastings had the beginning and the ending of the book and then just filled the rest with Magnolia and Julian. Daisy
She’s just amazing, too. I liked that she made friends with women (Taura and Magnolia) but again, Taura was her first female friend but we got NOTHING about them but Magnolia filled all of Daisy‘s chapters. It feels like Jessa Hastings herself isn’t really interested in Daisy. Raised by her older brother, Julian, aftertheir parents were murdered, Daisy has never been able to escape the watchful gaze of her gang-lord brother. But Julian’s line of work means that Daisy’s life is . . . complicated. Also
I’m over the love triangle. Again, pointless. I’m over the boxset. Didn’t mind them but it’s becoming clear they have no loyalty to anyone but Magnolia. All they do is tear down Christian and to believe that she’s trying to sell it to us as found family is laughable. The really disappointing thing is that I would’ve loved all of this stuff if she wasn’t more and more just using everyone as a pawn to bolster one character. I know she’s a new author, but this ain’t it. Aside for a cult following who are also obsessed with Magnolia I don’t see how this is a recipe for success.

So Christian is the best character of this series, as usual. A living and breathing and walking white flag, as usual. A victim of his supposed friends, as usual. The “”””plot twist””” of his sex tape has been the funniest part of this book. His presence has been the light at the end of the tunnel. Henry and Taura: i honestly don't care about them. he's the loser of the group, the spare Ballentine brother that we don't really need and she can't make a choice and stand by it for the life of her. let's hope they end up together so Jonah can FINALLY be free and we can move on to better things! I have to say I am too much of a MagnoliaBJ girl to enjoy the relationship between Magnolia and Julian. Daisy and Tiller (EYEROLL). Another couple that made no sense! YAY. If you haven’t read this book PLEASE GO and witness the way their conversations can bore a person to death! That was so fun actually, I imagined their whole dynamic at the dinner table being like a shopping list of the things going on at work/university, followed by sex and then they pushed the repeat button for a whole ass year. And we had to listen to the ramble of this for half of the book before Christian Hemmes - our dear lord and savior amen - came to the rescue. The whole plot with Magnolia and Julian was too much. Julian‘s povs were too much. I love him and I loved reading his chapters in daisy haites 1 but this
no. Also, I hope she confirms if Christian is going to be Daisy‘s endgame otherwise I‘ll just give up on the series now. As their romance blossoms into something neither were anticipating, Daisy, Christian, and Julian must come to terms with the fact that in this life everything comes at a price. As their relationships intersect and tangle, they all learn that sometimes life’s most worthwhile pursuits can only be paid in blood. Jessa Hastings said that she doesn’t remember writing this book and that she obsesses about something and then writes about it and it shows. Christian - who are you and what have you done with Christian. I almost didn't recognize this new Christian. He was so mature. I honestly came into this book expecting to rag on him like I do for the previous books, but I had very few complaints. I hated how he reacted to Daisy's reaction to the sex tape, but he moaned Daisy's name so I got over it. This man was so obsessed with Daisy he switched colognes, stared at daisies, and basically thought about her nonstop. I loved him. He was truly the best character in this book (the bar is rather though I must admit).
