If he decides to accept, he will become a prime target. As the story unfold, there are 3 other countries that are trying to get their probes launched first, and so they play dirty. From there, Bob begins creating a virtual reality interface for himself, just to feel more human, as well as countless “copies” of his mind, using the powerful autofactories at his disposal to deploy more “Bobs” to other parts of the galaxy.

This is an irreverent comedy adventure takes, akin to "Ready Player One" and "Magic 2.0", and if you enjoyed those then you'll probably love this. It's also been compared to "The Martian", which is entirely wrong. In terms of sophistication and internal consistency, "The Martian" is a fine wine, and this is grape soda. Either can really hit the spot, but you should know what you're in for.We Are Legion touches on a number of sensitive matters like politics, religion and philosophy. From the fundamentalist rulers of the former United States, to the struggles of humans in the post-war fight for resources, to the arguments among the Deltans on a distant world, the book explores both how political discord occurs and how it can be resolved. There are elements of satire here, but only rarely does it get too heavy-handed. The story is certainly great and it wraps up lots of the plotlines that were left dangling in the first novel and setting several others Senior Minister Travis: FAITH minister within the Ministry of Truth sent to evaluate Bob 2.0 after being awoken (given artificial consciousness as part of the HEAVEN Project). well, Bob is different. A bit of an independent loaner with no political axe to grind, Bob sets about creating a 'world' HE can live in first! Still, the prime directive is all about replicating, so bring on the Bobs! Kinetic Weapons Are Just Better: The Brazilian probes use explosive missiles, but Bob is worried about the substances exploding when built with his 3D printers. He considers using lasers, but dismisses them as inefficient due to power constraints, so he goes with guided non-explosive missiles called "busters" instead. They work by suicidaly ramming the target at high speed.

DYSON SPHERE: A Dyson sphere is a hypothetical megastructure that completely encompasses a star and captures a large percentage of its power output. Bob Johansson, affectionately referred to as Bob, used to be an engineer in 21st century. He signed up to have his head preserved cryogenically upon his death just for future resuscitation to a new body. However, in a strange and ironic twist of fate, he died in less than 24 hours after doing so. He woke up a century later only to find out that his new body was in form of a type of computer program. Bob Johansson had become a replicant. Bob’s mission was becoming an artificial intelligence manning interstellar probe for searching for habitable planets. It later turns out that The USA wasn’t the only nation that was planning to lay claims as being the first nation to seek out the new worlds.

An excellent story for any sci fi lovers, this is something very different, full of science, and things I don't understand, but loved learning about. While working at his day job as a computer programmer, Taylor self-published his first novel and began working with an agent to try to publish his second novel We Are Legion. However, Taylor still had difficulty getting any publishing house to take on his work, and eventually published it through his agent's in-house publishing arm. An audiobook rights deal with Audible was also reached. Once recorded, We Are Legion became one of the most popular audiobooks on the service and was awarded Best Science Fiction Audiobook of the year. [1]
