Great product, as you’d expect from Makita. Cut approx 150m2 of lawn that was fairly long and damp and it did it with ease, and only used about 1/4 of the batteries. pretty impressive! The Makita DC18SH 14.4v - 18v Li-ion Dual Twin Port Charger is a two port charger that is able to charge two Makita slide style Li-ion and Ni-MH batteries (with adapter) at the same time.
Genuine Makita batteries have STAR Protection built in which is the communication technology between the tool and the battery to monitor the conditions and exchange data in real time to protect against overloading, over-discharging or over-heating.
This optimised charging system extends the life of the battery considerably so Makita are able to produce fast charge times because their batteries and chargers are kept cool whilst the battery is connected. Product dimensions are stated with a battery / batteries, if they affect the overall dimensions of the product.
Very pleased with this so far. Lasted just over an hour which is as much as I wanted to do in one go anyway!
This is a brilliant piece of kit just like all the Makita tools I have ever bought, it makes cutting the grass so much easier than using my old petrol mower.
