About this deal

Matulef, Jeffrey (June 12, 2016). "The Walking Dead Season 3 revealed". Eurogamer. Archived from the original on June 14, 2016 . Retrieved June 12, 2016. The story itself is fine, if not particularly original or strong enough to withstand more than passing scrutiny. Perhaps the gaps will be filled in better in Books Two and Three. It doesn't help that Tillie Walden's art is occasionally too murky to differentiate between characters or to fully illustrate what's happening to them. I really enjoyed Amos tho, who was a delight. I just... I don't think I'm this book's target demographic. I don't care about your standard zombies and I'd much rather read about teenage angst in real world situations (tho, perhaps hilariously, one of my favorite zombie books is Lia Habel's steampunk-zombie-teen romance mashup Dearly, Departed.) Things I mostly didn't like: I don't think we spent enough time with the other characters to know them properly. Clementine eventually soon wake up and was greeted by Olivia, who told her that they had been saved by Emi. Olivia also reveals to Clementine that she has been unconscious for one month and her legs got infected as well. Olivia takes Clementine in a wheelchair and it was reveals that they are taken to Magdalen Islands, a remote island community led by Anne Morro, an enigmatic doctor. They soon reunited with Ricca where she attended a birthday party. There, Ricca introduces Clementine to the residents of the island, including Emi, John, Amir, Shu-Fen, Ginette, Giles, and Mercy. Pic THIS THREAD WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES! AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED SEASONS 1-4!

The artwork was so-so and would have benefited from coloring. The storyline is meh and has a lot to be desired. Crecente, Brian (April 3, 2019). I thought that Clementine: Book One was a great book and a wonderful spiritual successor to The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series. I thought that Tillie Walden had a really good understanding of Clementine's character and life in the Walking Dead universe. In the video games, Clementine becomes the guardian of a small child named Alvin "AJ" Junior when she is just 10-years-old. Clementine keeps AJ alive and teaches him to be safe. In the final Telltale game, after years of wandering the road, Clementine and AJ join a community of teenage survivors living at an old boarding school and make a home for themselves there. Clementine is woken up the next morning by an Amish boy named Amos heading off on his Rumspringa. She chases after him and alerts him that walkers are behind him. After killing the walkers with his axe, Amos asks Clementine where she is headed. She tells him she is travelling north and he informs her he is also travelling north. They travel together and Amos reveals that he is going to Killington in Vermont to build a homestead on the mountain where he will be awarded with a plane ride after the job is completed. They travel together in Amos' buggy into the night where they hear people calling for help, Amos helps the family into his buggy and Clementine drives them all to safety. While Clementine is asleep, one of the people they saved tries to assault Clementine. She holds a knife to his head and then stomps on his hand with her prosthetic foot before leaving. Amos chases after Clementine on his horse and asks her to come with him to Vermont. It’s been nearly twenty years of Walking Dead media. From its original comic book, the franchise has moved into television, animation, and, reportedly, future feature films. It has been board games, card games, and tabletop miniature games. It has been both video games and novels; it’s even a theme park ride. Goldfarb, Andrew (2013-10-29). "Clementine Confirmed as Playable in The Walking Dead: Season 2". IGN. Archived from the original on 2013-10-31 . Retrieved 2013-10-29. Matulef, Jeffrey (2013-04-02). "Telltale nearly scrapped The Walking Dead's Clementine a week before recording". Eurogamer. Archived from the original on 2013-04-05 . Retrieved 2013-04-03. So I am not the ideal reviewer of this series for a number of reasons; 1) I am seemingly one of the few comics readers in the world who has not read The Walking Dead (okay, maybe two volumes, then I stopped) nor seen the tv series; 2) I am not a gamer, so have no familiarity with the Telltale Walking Dead video game featuring Clementine, though I have become aware of the controversy about ripping out the hearts of all players who liked how the Clementine game had (previously) ended, and 3) I am not really a fan of zombie comics. Ayres, Andrea (October 11, 2020). "What's next for Walking Dead? More of Telltale's Clementine, says Robert Kirkman". Polygon . Retrieved October 12, 2020.

Clementine is introduced when Lee Everett takes shelter in her suburban home in Georgia to find refuge from zombies (referred to in-universe as walkers). She is revealed to be hiding from the walkers alone in a tree house as her parents had left for Savannah some time before the apocalypse. Lee offers to take and protect Clementine, hoping that they will be able to find her parents. A little while later, Olivia successfully removes the bullet from Ricca's torso. While the two try to get some sleep, Clementine goes to take a look around and finds a cat.

I’m certain longtime fans will have a lot to say about that — there are lists about the best episodes, the scariest issues; closer at hand (and more germane to this conversation) are the critical darling adventure games from now-defunct Telltale Games, from which the character of Clementine originates. A coming-of-age tale of survival written and illustrated by two-time Eisner award winner Tillie Walden (Spinning, On a Sunbeam). Clementine is a fictional character in The Walking Dead episodic adventure video game series, a spin-off of the Robert Kirkman comic of the same name and developed by Telltale Games. An original character developed by Telltale for the video game series, she is the series' main protagonist and one of the playable characters. She is voiced by Melissa Hutchison and was written by several people, including Gary Whitta. Campbell, Colin (8 May 2012). "The Walking Dead: Why Lee Everett Really Matters". IGN. Ziff Davis, LLC.
