About this deal

requested identification. This was duly given followed by a short conversation before they left. All this conducted from my S***box. Big Al. wrote:A friend of mine was leading a group trip on Lough Erne and she was asked by one of the punters where the conveniences were. If we’d had less to carry, we’d have definitely brought along our My Carry Potty, the portable ‘suitcase’ potty with carry handle – great for toddlers on the move.

Keltoi wrote:I know this os an old thread, but I was reminded of it when our company was sent one of these. The next day on the return journey he revealed how he had solved the problem by using a bin liner in the cool box, and that it was "quite comfy". It took the weight of my frail 19 stone, sitting, and then standing on the lid. Not sure how much more stability you need? Kate Castle came to Innovate Product Design to develop her idea for a portable toilet after identifying nothing else on the market which provided a decent solution. To be fair I did cut the story down to make it easily read. The lady leading the trip would be the sort to explain in fine detail how to dig a "Cat Hole", the correct way to use it, and I believe the guy did bury the contents of the bag before the return journey.Take your own anti-bacterial gel as the dispensers provided frequently run out. Also carry a little soap and use the Water points to wash hands when you can as nothing beats good old soap and water. By night 2 I decided that while I wasn’t ready to moon my neighbours, at least the babes could try out the Bog in a Bag. a mate of mine uses on for all day fieldwork at Uni. the point is no one ever uses it but it is more portable than the portaloo that noi one ever uses! plus he cant get grief for not providing loo facilities. they are not very stable and soft ground could be issue And then we wonder why we find piles of sh1te in the wilderness? People are taken out on trips and no one bothers to explain how to properly and safely deal with a basic human need in what is to them an alien environment.

The chemical inside renders the waste safe & legal for normal garbage disposal. I bring a 2.5' long length of ABS pipe with a screw cap on one end in which to store the used bags. p.s. just noticed that this was from 2011, oh well I expect people still need to shit in the woods in 2012. Always forgive,Never forget;Learn from mistakes,But Never regret;People change,Things go wrong;Just remember life goes onAfter a two-hour grilling and three offers she walked away with a new business partner and the dragon she wanted. The S***Box bags provided with it are biodegradable. I place these in a dedicated Ortlieb dry bag for disposal on return home. So same result different approach.

I hate the idea of using the 'ol cat hole method and leaving human waste and TP in the woods or desert. We actually use a potette (this is the newer version http://www.mothercare.com/Potette-PLUS-Travel-Potty-Trainer/dp/B001CFQWHW)

I'm not sure whether this is in the spirit of this thread as it is at the extreme end of the portable spectrum, but the Bog in a Bag saved my life at the Belgian Grand Prix camping last year. It's a strong, lightweight, folding three-legged stool with a strong fabric seat with a large velcro flap covering an ample bum-sized hole! BoginaBag is 65cm in length with a diameter of 13cm. When set up as a toilet the dimensions are 35cm... Folding out as a seat and having the function to be a toilet that is hygienic and uses no chemicals, making it totally unique!

As a minor critique, I would say maybe the makers could create adjustable legs in case you need to squat inside a very low tent! The bags completely cover the seat of the BoginaBag Portable Toilet, to ensure there’s no mess and make it hygienic to be used multiple times. After receiving the invitation to visit Camp Bestival and camp for 4 nights with the kids, one of the first things I did was to research toilet options. There’s a range of portable devices on the market that claim to make your festival experience a little less crappy. Kate Castle lives in Winchester with her partner and two children. She balances her time between managing the business and looking after her children. Sorry, but it's just got to be said: My No.1 exit is further from my No.2 exit than the tripod allows. There's a little hole in the middle that I might learn to aim No.2 well enough into, but does one just pee over the front of it?

The BoginaBag Portable Toilet is simple to use. It folds out as a stool and you just have to remove the cover and insert one of the specially designed, leak-proof, degradable bags for use. Once finished, the bag’s ‘magic crystals’ absorb any liquid or solid waste, all you have to do is remove the bag, tie it and dispose. Brilliant idea for the little people and my I say big people with just was a wee to do more a man than a woman though.I suppose you could use any poly bags with no holes in them that actually fit around the potette After completing a full budget planner and getting an investor on board, Kate then applied for a patent and registered design images. Once those were done she approached UK and Chinese manufacturers directly. BoginaBag is a lightweight seat which can be easily converted to a portable toilet for use outdoors. By all accounts, festival toilets have come a long way. The loos at Camp Bestival weren’t all bad and we definitely favoured the compostable toilets– there’s no wet flush, you simply toss sawdust inside. The smell is much less potent in these loos, but a word of warning: don’t look down!
