About this deal

Discover the Immersive Optics 5×30 Mildot: an impressive CQB-style scope, supplied with a set of MOA adjustable mounts. The 30mm objective lens provides improved light transmission for a bright picture, perfect for shooting from dawn to dusk. CNC-machined for unparalleled quality, this lightweight scope features a compact prismatic design that still delivers on performance. The 5×30 Pro prismatic riflescope from Immersive Optics offers a field of view that is far greater than other traditional rifle scopes, combined with exceptional levels of magnification to achieve improved situational awareness, and an incredibly long 85mm eye relief providing crystal clear observation capabilities and reducing the risk of scope bite – making it perfect for use with centrefire rifles. I could never get it to work on my sporter style rifles (HW100KT and a Dreamline Classic), due to the position of my head and needing to be close to the optic; but on a semi-bullpup, it was fantastic.

I have seen some of the Immersive line on traditional rifles and I do have to say some of them did look odd. Depth of field was a bit tight for me but this isn't a bad thing for everyone. I suspect if I were to have one of these on a hunting rifle I would take advantage of this trait and set the side focus for the approximate distance of my 1/4" low point of my trajectory. That way I would know any prey that looked a bit fuzzy would require a distance reading and some holdover. Am looking for honest advice from users of the 5x Immersive optics scopes. I have not really looked at the prismatic‘s before as they were zero eye relief and not suited to springers. However since the news of the incoming new Element HYPR-7 and the new Immersive 5 x 30 pro, it has got me wondering if this is something to consider swapping one of my Element Helix 4-16x44 for. I was considering just an upgrade to the Nexus with Japanese glass to enable me to have better optical clarity and was 95% set on that until they announced the HYPR-7, which just got the brain thinking about prismatic’s. I looked through the 5x30 Pro yesterday at the shooting show and was surprisingly impressed, however looking in an exhibition hall is vastly different to real world situations. Really impressive FOV at 5x. The Pro has less but still quite a bit as I recall. The Pro will certainly have more FOV at 5x than your Element does at 4x. Was impossible for me to get comfortable with on a Leshiy Classic. Factory mount was too high and even with the longest base there wasn't sufficient eye relief. But this is more of a rifle and user issue. I imagine on many other rifles one of these would be amongst my first choices. And likely not an issue with the Pro at all.

Using the latest techniques in engineering and manufacturing, Immersive Optics aim to be at the forefront of the shooting industry. They specialise in ultra-compact air rifle scopes crafted using prism technology, with short eye relief that fully immerses you in the scene – hence their name. You can view our entire Immersive Optics range here. Delivery Information Equipped with an interchangeable eyesafe LED 940nm IR Illuminator, which offers quality long distance illumination for the already highly sensitive 1280x720 CMOS sensor, resulting in a night vision attachment with detailed image capturing. The 5×30 Pro, along with all other Immersive Optics riflescopes, is CNC machined to guarantee zero-errors; features a nitrogen-filled optical channel for anti-fogging; and is water sealed for protection against moisture. An innovative lens cap retention system allows the user to clip the lens cap securely to the side of the riflescope, doing away with any distractions whilst shooting. Has the least tube-like view of any optic I've looked through, including my Dedal Stalker and March 1-10x24 SFP Compact.

So the question really is for you guys who use the 5x Immersive optics, what are the pros and cons versus a conventional scope. I have seen quite a few being sold on which is why I am posing this question. They are relatively inexpensive so taking a punt wouldn’t end up costing the earth, but there is such a fountain of knowledge in this forum that it would be silly not to ask. The 5×30 Mildot scope comes with a smart, MOA adjustable mounting system for ease of use. It comprises three separate CNC-machined mounts – short, medium and large – which help zero the scope and keep it centred within its adjustment range. Each mount is constructed with a selection of rails to help you place the scope in a comfortable position on any airgun. Constructed with a CQB-style design, the 5×30 Mildot scope is focusable from 6m to infinity, ideal for close-range shooting. With parallax-error free visuals at any distance, the medium eye relief also provides a 2x larger field of view than other scopes. Enjoy natural colour reproduction with ED (extra-low dispersion) glass, which eliminates chromatic aberration (colour fringing) for a crisp, clear picture. CNC Machined Precision Mechanics This sight is fitted with the classic Mildot aiming mark from Immersive Optics. Easy-to-use even for novice shooters, it’s the ideal reticle for taking simple shots. The various glass-etched holdover markings help with range estimation and also allow you to compensate for bullet drop at long distances. This scope is also available with the Mildot Rapid reticle. Prismatic Scope Design This new prismatic design also reduces the weight offering complete balance. The 5x30 scope features a glass-etched illuminated mildot or mildot rapid reticle. The scope is also fitted with ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) glass that helps maintain a natural colour within the observable field of view. Specification It’s not in my view a target scope, but aimed at field use ……and for HFT comps if you vision allows? It sat on my main squirrel/ratting rifle and due to the 45mm of eye relief, worked very well with a Pard 007.
