About this deal

Here on EMF Academy, I have all sorts of guides on how to lower EMF radiation risk in your house, such as my Whole House EMF Protection Guide. These guides offer tons of solutions to lower your exposure, but without an EMF meter, it is difficult to get a real understanding of how much radiation exposure you actually reduced. So let’s break down what we mean by “High EMF Meter Reading” first. There are so many meters on the market, and all of them max out at different amounts, and many even use different units of measurement. So, for the purpose of the post, we’re really going to just talk about the dangerous levels of the magnetic field, electric field, and radio frequency radiation. Not Tri-Axis – Whereas many of the EMF meters on this list have tri-axis capability (meaning they will get an accurate reading regardless of orientation), the Meterk requires that the sensor (located on the right-hand side) is pointed towards the source of the radiation to obtain an accurate reading.

An EMF (Electromagnetic Field) tester is used to measure the radiation of an electromagnetic field. An EMF is a combination of an electric field and a magnetic field combined with electric fields found on most electrical appliances when plugged into an outlet. A magnetic field is created when the appliance is switched on at the outlet. EMF testers are used to diagnose any problems with electrical wiring, power lines and electrical shielding effectiveness. Measuring the EM Field? The Trifield TF2 will give you a good sense of your AC electric field exposure, but you’ll want a professional meter or EMF specialist to verify the effectiveness of your mitigation attempts, especially in sleeping areas. The 1-axis necessitates placing the meter in different configurations to ascertain the true ac electric exposure. More professional meters have increased sensitivity and measure in three axes which adds convenience. These invisible forces, produced by nearly all electronic devices (yes, even the phone or computer you're using right now), surround us all the time. EXTRA EMF PROTECTION — No magnets in the earbud, to avoid direct EMF radiation to your head. Metal shielded wire for additional shielding. The speakers encased at distance and turn the electrical signal into an EMF-free acoustic signal conducted through the air. Although the Bioiniative Report had many conclusions, one of them was a recommendation of 1 mG for magnetic fields in living spaces. If you have a quality EMF meterlike the Trifield TF2that I use so often, you’ll probably notice readings in your home somewhere between .1 mG – 1 mG, usually hovering around .4 or .5 mG. These are the ambient levels that you’ll likely expect in a modern home. If you live in an apartment building, these will likely be even higher. So you can see how easy it is as you get closer to electronics that produce magnetic field radiation to expose yourself to levels higher than the safety recommendations of the Bioinitiative report. The reason I trust the 1 mG recommendation over the ridiculous 2000 mG recommendation of agencies like the ICNIRP is that it is based on unbiased research of nearly 30 scientists from around the world who summarized over 2000 studies related to the biological harm of EMF Radiation.

As with the electric field setting, he 1-axis necessitates moving the meter around in a figure eight motion to gather the exposure information you need. User Friendliness –I don’t personally feel like the Cornet ED88T is all that user-friendly. There are only a few buttons, which you would think would be a good thing, but it is not clear what they do, and I found that when first using the device I was stumbling around a bit. In contrast, I found the Trifield TF2 to be almost impossible to not use correctly, as you simply turn the large dial on the front to what you want to measure, and off you go. This meter is a little pricier than the last, but worth it for this Acoustimeter. Unlike the K-II, this isn’t made specifically for ghost hunts. This meter was manufactured to detect EMF in your home or just even out and about where it could be considered a health hazard.Although this is great to know, how does it link into ghosts? Theories are stating that ghosts can be manipulative with this energy. Professor McFadden, who has researched at the University of Surrey, states that “the conscious mind consists of an electromagnetic field, a field that does not disintegrate when we die”. By this logic, ghosts still have this electromagnetic field, which can be detected with an EMF meter. With this feature, the Trifield TF2 EMF meter displays the highest reading it has measured, ensuring you never miss a beat. Even if a high-level EMF only appears for a fraction of a second, the peak hold feature will catch it and keep it displayed, ensuring you're aware of these transient but significant sources of EMF. Let's say you work in a bustling office environment. From computers and printers to Wi-Fi routers and overhead lighting, there's a myriad of electronic devices in use.

The Electric mode measures the electric component of the EMF, often coming from unshielded wiring or electrical devices. Boasts a large, user-friendly digital display which presents readings in various units: milligauss or microtesla for magnetic fields, volts per meter for electric fields, and milliwatts per square meter or microwatts per square centimeter for radio frequencies frequency selective measurements: in which the measurement system consists of a field antenna and a frequency selective receiver or spectrum analyzer allowing to monitor the frequency range of interest.Other than the Trifield TF2, the Cornet ED88T might be one of the most popular EMF meters on the market. In terms of features and price, it’s actually quite similar to the TF2, but there are a few reasons I’ve ranked it a bit lower. All in all, it’s a quality meter by a great company that I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with. Let’s talk about each one individually. I just want to note, that it is a little bit hard to pinpoint at what level of EMF radiation harm takes place because so many researchers, organizations, governments, and regulatory agencies disagree on these levels. We’ll talk about this though moving forward. High Magnetic Field Readings PURE & AUTHENTIC SHUNGITE STONE — Our Shungite is a real authentic level III polished Shungite stones - directly from mother nature - Karelia, Russia. Natural stones will neutralize 99.99% of harmful EMF radiation. Get the real deal and get the best PROTECTION you deserve for yourself and your family. Don't be fooled by products that do not work. After looking at all of these studies and working extensively to develop the report, they came to the conclusion that 1 mG the upper limit of what you should allow your body to be exposed to. The 140µW/m2 is the average reading measured in microwatts per square meter and will correspond to the right row of lights.

I don’t want to go into detail about this subject in this guide, but I’ll point you to the following articles: For one, you might find that your Trifield Meter's needle swings quite a bit. Don't worry; it's not your device being moody. EMFs can fluctuate, so a bit of swing is entirely normal. My advice? Take several readings and consider the average. High or low readings The Price –The TF2 is very competitively priced, and I personally think it is very reasonable for the quality of construction and features that you get with it. Ultimately there are many good EMF meters on the market, and honestly, it can be a bit intimidating to select the right one, which was my driving force behind creating this guide. I wanted to cut out some of the confusion and fear from buying an EMF meter, and just help you to get one into your hands! Price –Obviously the most obvious benefit of the Meterk EMF meter is its extremely low cost. There are a few reasons for this, with the largest being the fact that it is developed and manufactured in China, so they are able to produce it at a very low cost. This can also be a bit of a con, which we’ll talk about below. So first of all, to clarify, .1 µW/cm2 (microWatt per square centimeter) is equal to 1mW/m²(milliWatt per square meter) just so you understand the conversions. So in that quote, they say new studies report biological effectsin the range of 0.003 to 0.05 μW/cm2, which would equal .03 – .5mW/m². With your Trifield Meter, you can assess the EMF levels at your workspace. High readings on the 'magnetic' or 'electric' settings? You might want to rearrange your setup, keeping high-emission devices further away.
