Behemoth – A name that references the giant beast from Jewish mythology, and the size and power of some spiders. Aragog – A name taken from the “Harry Potter” series, which features a giant spider named Aragog who is both terrifying and wise. Spider names typically have characteristics that relate to the physical appearance or behavior of spiders.
These spiders are not dangerous for humans and pets as they don’t generally bite. But they can bite when they sense danger. Jumping spider bite symptoms are mild and heal within a few hours. What is a Jumping Spider? The series has had giant spiders since the first game and regularly has them appear to fight the player in a Jump Scare. But in Dragon Age: Inquisition, during a sequence taking place in a nightmare realm, the Inquisitor and party have to fight off spider-like creatures sent by a creature called Nightmare. In-universe, each character is seeing something personalized, but the Inquisitor and Hawke are seeing spiders.

Subverted in the Six-Arms Saga, where Peter accidentally sprouts four extra appendages after taking a serum meant to nullify his spider powers and goes into hiding, reasoning that the public and many if not all of the people he cares about will react this way upon seeing him like that.
