About this deal

Removable Footbed: Cambrelle® + Active Carbons + Felt. Form fitting shape for less strain on the foot arch, heel and metatarus. Special CRISPI® No-Slip Design and Active Carbons Filter with antibacterial properties. COMFORT: 10- These are the most comfortable hunting boots I’ve ever worn! Throughout the fall I marveled at the fact it felt as though I didn’t have anything on my feet. I’ve never had boots conform so well to my feet, yet they still offered great support. OVERALL REVIEW: 9.5 of 10- A wise man once told me: “When you find what you’re looking for, stop looking.” After one complete fall season I have to say the Crispi Guide is an exceptional boot, but—for my feet and the type of hunting I do—the Crispi Hunter is exactly the boot I’ve been looking for. The toughest hunts are often the most satisfying… This fall I spent 86 days across Alaska guiding in the Brooks Range mountains for Dall sheep and grizzly, the boggy Arctic flats for caribou, the rolling lichen-laiden hills of Western Alaska for moose and grizzly, and the timeless bear country of the Alaska Peninsula for brown bear. My entire season hinged on the performance of two pairs of Crispi boots: The Hunter GTX and The Guide GTX.

Looking at two of their premier products, the Kenetrek Mountain Extreme 400 and the Crispi Hunter GTX. Each boot will be judged against five main factors that each hunter will look for in a boot: To aid your faulty claim please can you ensure your item is clean before sending us photographs, as we use these photographs to create a claim on your behalf. There is a 12-month warranty on all Kenetrek boots where they will replace or repair the boots within reason. Some may say that a 12-month warranty is not much when compared to other brands, but I would beg to differ. It is obvious that the Kenetrek Mountain Extreme 400 and Crispi Hunter GTX had stability at the core when designing these boots. The Mountain Extreme is 10” tall up the leg and the Hunter GTX runs at height of 12”. This was my first experience with Crispi, and I must say that, overall, I was very satisfied with their performance. Both pairs performed equally well, but I found myself preferring the Hunter, mainly do to the extra 2” of upper, which translates into more water clearance, and most of all, more heel stability (this has always an issue for me). With the aforementioned being the only noticeable difference between the two models, I will otherwise review them as though they are the same boot.

Crispi boots were born in Veneto, Italy in the mid-70s and made its way through most of Europe before officially being introduced into the States in 2016. Stability, comfort and impact protection are provided thanks to the midsole with waving module insert and tred with Vibram Megagrip compound. Why? Well I did an "Ultra Challenge" Event in 2021 where I covered 100km (60 miles), in 36 hours, with a total ascent of 10,000 feetand I wore a pair of Crispi Summitboots. I also did many training sessions of 25 - 50km and they performed faultlessly in all weathers and over all terrains. In fact I am wearing the same boots whilst writing this listing....Excellent climate comfort and thermal insulation thanks to teh insulating inner upper that utilises technology from both GORE-TEX and Primaloft. Removable Footbed: CRISPI Air Mesh + Felt Active Carbons. Outstanding breathability and anti perspiration - anti odour action. The CRISPI 3D construction moves moisture away leaving the foot dry. Featuring the special Boa® Closure System to enable ease of use and comfort. The closure requires only the twisting of the dial to tighten the boot to your individual requirements with not tying of laces required. A customised fit without pressure points is achieved thanks to the BOA millimetric closing system which uniformly distributes pressure. Another feature on the Dakota boots that promotes comfort and and protection to your feet is the Crispi Ankle Bone Support System (ABSS). The ABSS greatly improves comfort and protection of the entire ankle area due to a combination of innovative materials that allow the footwear to contour gently around your ankle. The system offers fantastic sprain protection even on the most challenging terrain while supporting the ankle in all condtions. This helps to reduce fatigue on the lower joints after a long day of walking.

Select the item(s) you want to return and choose between exchanges or a return. You also have the option to return for store credit via a gift card. The Hunter GTX are recommended for more intenseactivitiesin wild terrain as they offer even more support being a higher boot. The high-cut upper gives greater structure to the boot, as well as protection and support for the foot. There tends to be 3 options for outdoor workers when they are choosing the best footwear for the type of work and conditions; 1) Wellington boots, 2) Walking Boots and 3) Walking Boots with Gaiters fitted. Each of the 3 options have positives and negatives. Wellingtons offer great waterproof properties, but very limited ankle support and comfort. Walking boots offer good support and comfort but limited waterproof abilities compared with wellingtons. The option to fit a gaiter to walking boots is an improvement but can be time consuming, fiddly and ultimately, water can stilll creep up from underneath.
