About this deal

This attention-grabbing ideas resource is designed to be used alongside the We Are All Different eBook. There is no emotion that only a select few people feel because our fundamental neurobiology is the same. There are many different kinds of ways to help children stay focused while reading a story. Listen and follow audio activities are just one of these methods, and can help children stay focused on the story they’re learning about through the use of fun narration. This narration is designed to be used in combination with the book itself, making for a far more effective learning process.

One of the most important lessons to learn as a child is to embrace and celebrate our differences. Fostering a general atmosphere of kindness in your classroom not only helps children improve their social skills but also sets them up fantastically for the rest of their lives. Teaching children to be proud of their differences, whilst also being respectful towards others, can hopefully inspire them to be positive and kind people when they grow older. Children will relate to the characters, their likes and dislikes and their characteristics, and will recognise some people in their own class who share some of these similarities. Showcasing your students’ work. A bright, colourful display board littered with your students’ work and art is a great way to showcase their fabulous efforts. Displays such as these are often changed and updated throughout the year, which adds to the interactive feel and shows the class’ progress as the year goes on. All Are Welcome Here Muted Rainbow-Themed Poster - Promote positive thinking within your classroom and reinforce a feeling of belonging for your students with this amazing pastel poster. Add to your diversity display board with some more of our wonderful resources. Here are just a few of our favourites:This resource is perfect to use during Disability Pride Month in July. Why should children learn that we are all different? The activities are fun and highly engaging which will help develop the focus and attention of the child. For some activities, key words have been included to support the teaching of the subject and activity while in other cases, songs have been included to reinforce the task. When we get a new phone, it has default factory settings. People customize the settings according to their own needs and preferences. We have created a glorious and engaging We Are All Different: Colourful Semantics resource in three different ability levels to not only help you find something suitable for specific pupils but as a way of adapting the activity for a group of pupils at a range of abilities. The boy who says he doesn’t want attention may have never gained attention. So he invents a new lie: ‘I don’t want attention’ to protect his ego. But when he does receive it, he behaves like most people.

Use this beautifully illustrated We Are All Different animation to help your class learn about and understand why we should all celebrate our differences in a positive way. This accompanies the EYFS eBook and introduces children to the concept of being equal. Fostering a positive atmosphere in the classroom may also help prevent bullying, as kids can be more accepting of each other's differences. Not only that, but if a child feels more comfortable in a classroom setting, they can improve their confidence and self-esteem as well!Creating a display board for your classroom is an excellent way to encourage your students to keep diversity in mind and promote an inclusive classroom.
