About this deal

Masaya is having weird dreams in which an unidentified voice is telling him to wake up. Meanwhile, Bu-Ling is watching performance at the Tokyo Dome when a huge hole opens in the floor. She transforms and investigates, finding Tart under the Dome. He tells her they are going to make the whole area collapse by having chimera animas dig holes under it, starting with the Dome. While showing off his monster, it goes out of control and leaves, trapping Mew Pudding and Tart inside by falling debris. Mew Pudding is happy, though, and tells Tart that since they are both trapped, they do not need to fight. She gives him some candy and starts calling him "Taru-taru." Outside, the other Mew Mews defeat the chimera anima then use their powers to keep the dome from collapsing while it is evacuated. Tart decides it would be boring if Bu-Ling died, so uses his powers to make trees grow around the Dome so the roots support it. He teleports Bu-Ling to the surface and she says they are friends now. He yells at her and leaves, but smiles while looking at the candy she gave him. On the sound frount, this is a brilliant anime, the opening theme is uber catchy, you'll find yourself humming along almost instantly, really cool lyrics and nice and uplifting. The ending theme isn't as great but somehow you fnid yourself sitting through it so as to get the "next time..." bit at the end, it's ok though. One VERY important thing: WATCH THE SUBTITLED VERSION! the american version is awful with everyone being renamed and whiney voices cutting into your brain. Seriously, the Japanese voice acting is excellent, everyone sounds awesome.

What was really surprising to me was just how satisfying the romance elements of the plot played out. Ichigo is pretty singularly focused for the most part on her main crush Aoyama, who eventually becomes her steady boyfriend. Though this doesn’t prevent her from occasionally having conflicting feelings about other boys which given her age is not all that surprising or unexpected. It was also nice to see that other characters were given their own relationships though some were better than others. (One in particular was frustratingly annoying) Ultimately the ending both for the main plot and the romance is extremely satisfying and well done. Next, though animation quality is rarely a deal-breaker for me, it’s noticeably rough in this anime. The frequency with which the viewer must witness a character being moved across the screen with the grace of a powerpoint transition is laughable, and really does not lend itself well to the action scenes. An even greater issue than the animation, though, is the art. Ichigo’s hair can’t seem to decide what size it wants to be on her head in any given scene. Again, though this normally wouldn’t be a huge gripe of mine, these visual issues seem exaggerated when taken alongside all the other problems the show has.Ryou and Keiichirou tell Ichigo that the creature she saw was a parasitic alien, called a chimera anima. To stop them, the Mew Project infused five girls with the DNA from specific endangered species, enabling the girls to become "Mew Mews". Ichigo begins working at Cafe Mew Mew while searching for the other four girls who bear the Mew marks. Keiichirou gives her a robot, Masha, to help with her work. While going home, Ichigo meets Minto Aizawa and her dog. Later, Ichigo visits Minto's home to return a handkerchief, but Minto's dog becomes infected by a chimera anima. During the battle, Ichigo discovers that Minto is the second Mew Mew, Mew Mint. They defeat the monster, returning the dog to normal. Minto joins Ichigo in working at the café. There were also many cuts made to the episodes (some cuts even lasting 30 seconds to a full minute), even some that were important to the plot. Ichigo's merging with the Iriomote Wildcat was cut completely, causing confusion on how she got her powers. The scene showing Bu-Ling's father training in China is cut as well, so it's unknown if she even had a father in the English dub. Almost 4 minutes were cut out of episode 13 altogether due to it referencing episode 12 (which was put into discontinuity) and made it take place right after episode 11. So instead of Ichigo being afraid that Aoyama found out her secret at the cherry tree incident, they changed it to Zoey being afraid that Mark recognized her on TV. standard Mahou Shoujo fair. Our heroine Ichigo finds herself in the possession of unwanted, embarrassing, and often uncontrollable magical powers. These powers involve her growing cat ears and a tail and having many feline abilities and characteristics. She joins a group called Tokyo Mew Mew to fight against mysterious aliens who are trying to kill off the human race. Other Mew Mews steadily join the group until it reaches five. From here the true motivations of the villains become more defined and the episodes start to play out very much like most magical girl series do with a monster of the week which the girls must use their combined abilities to defeat. As I mentioned earlier, it all feels just a bit too familiar and predictable in the beginning portions of the series.

COVER Corporation Announces hololive English VTuber Gawr Gura Collaboration with Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium Even the environmental nature of the premise is pretty dark and sadly even more relevant in today's world! A lot of this was present in similar series like it at the time, too. As a gold-standard of magical girls, and a big influence on this series, Sailor Moon had a lot of dark moments too! Though, never too much that a younger viewer couldn't understand, and these despairing moments are usually followed by pleas of heartfelt optimism. Tokyo Mew Mew is a really awsome anime to watch.........everything about it*in my opinion* is SO awsome!i mean its story, art, sound, characters, and everything else is awsome

Mew Mew Bridget- Her entire transformation was cut due to her being naked during most of it. Parts of it were only shown during the group transformation sequences 4Kids made. had this anime reccomended to me online I thought I'd hate it, it sounded so cheesy and girly. But actually I was instantly hooked! The jokes are funny, the tension is well excecuted and it's just fun and exciting to watch. It doesn't really drag, despite the number of episodes, however, within episodes there are a lot of repeated sequences when the girls are transforming into thier super hero alter egos. Otherwise it's all great, you'll want to watch every single episode!

I have no choice but to sink bank into the mindset of a pre-teen girl watching Tokyo Mew Mew New - and surely it's pre-teen girls that are intended to be watching. In 2003, a sequel manga, Tokyo Mew Mew a la Mode, began serialization. It was written by Mia Ikumi, with Reiko Yoshida not returning, and starred a new protagonist named Berry Shirayuki/Mew Berry. At first, A la Mode was not warmly received by fans, who disliked its fast pace and the replacement of Ichigo as the main character. These days, the sequel is remembered more fondly, if still not as fondly as the original, and many fans have expressed a wish for it to be adapted into an anime someday. I actually wasn't there either, so I can't say for sure. I spent much more time on the shounen-side of early anime internet fandom partially because I try to avoid fandom drama (a wise choice) and only learned about most things from other people or rumblings. But I quite remember other 00s shoujo series like Fruits Basket having savage ship battles! So I wouldn't be surprised if that were true for this series as well. But I do know from looking that there are still a lot of people still fond of these characters and ships and their memories in fandom for them. Ichigo meets a cat at the train station and discovers that, even in her human form, she can understand him. The cat, named Asano, later comes to the café, and tells her that he is searching for the cat he loves, a Lilac Point Siamese named Jacqueline whose owner moved away. The girls agree to help him find her, but learn that her owner has taken her to a cat fair to find her a fiancé. Asano speaks to her there, but she says she cannot leave her owner because she is his most precious memory of his late wife. When one of the other cats is turned into a chimera anima, Asano comes to Jacqueline's aid. After the girls defeat the monster, Jacqueline's owner decides to allow the two cats to be together. Ask any die-hard fan of Reiko Yoshida and Mia Ikumi's Tokyo Mew Mew, and they would say that it's one of those shows that were once in the pipeline slew of the gaining classic Mahou Shoujo a.k.a Magical Girl genre of the early 2000s, right at the time of the immense success of Sailor Moon that has made its way into the West that has taken into effect for years. Of course, with the advent of Madoka Magica that completely turned and screwedTranscription: " Yasashisa no chikara, umi no fukaku ni negai yo todoke" ( Japanese: 優しさの力、海の深くに願いよ届け)

She shares many of the characteristics common with magical girls; ditzy, not overly bright, not very brave, a bit whiny, but extremely loyal to her friends and courageous when it really counts. She grows up a lot over the course of the story and her burgeoning romance with Aoyama and her own doubts about her own feelings and his feelings for her are compelling viewing. Though at times her personality can be a bit annoying (a lot like Usagi from Sailor Moon) but it’s impossible to dislike her. Saying you hate Ichigo is kind of like saying you hate kittens.
