About this deal

One piece of artwork actually leans a little more heavily into the comic books with that classic shot of Batman using his cape to swoop through his home. Adam also loves DC and Marvel superheroes, thanks to TV shows like Batman: The Animated Seriesand Spider-Man: The Animated Series in the 1990s. In addition to animated superheroes, he is a big fan of Tim Burton’s Batman, Smallville, the Arrowverse, and the Marvel movies. Adam is also a huge comic book fan of all eras, from the golden and silver ages, to DC's New 52 and Marvel's Ultimate Universe.

Christopher Nolan filmed Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight (2008) in Chicago before moving to Pittsburgh and New York for The Dark Knight Rises (2012). In The Art and Making of The Dark Knight Trilogy (2012), Nolan is quoted as saying he wanted to show Gotham “as one of the great cities in the world, like London or Los Angeles or Paris.” The most striking of the above alternate trap designs may be the one that features a whole set-up of tubes, allowing the rats to get some exercise after feasting on the victim’s face. Other designs are more simple and straight-forward, including one that’s literally just a square wire box strapped to the victim’s body with a couple rats crawling around inside. Another design employs a clear pane of glass so The Riddler can scrawl his catchphrase “No More Lies” on it. Reeves again shares, “The Nolan films established the Batmobile as a tank, which was a brilliant idea… But I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be cool if this guy is a loner and a gearhead and fashioning these things by himself, taking parts of other cars and kit cars? So it’s recognizable as a car this time. But it’s like a muscle car. One that he’s made himself.” Over the years, Batman has taken many shapes. He’s starred in comics, leapt onto the silver screen, taken on camp, drama, and even appeared in musicals. But despite his ever-changing form, three iconic Batmanfixtures have emerged over time: Batman’s Batsuit, Batmobile, and Batcave. And so, when a new Batman emerges from the darkness, as Robert Pattinson’s has in 2022, the first questions we have to ask revolve around these three Batobjects. Warner Bros.

Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies — Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) — amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens." The Bat-Symbols range from extremely tiny and stealthy bats to a much more pronounced silhouette, complete with a large wingspan. With the Bat-Symbol being extremely practical in The Batman, however, it’s unsurprising that Reeves and the team behind the film went with one more traditional.

Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batmanstars Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin. This Batsuit may not be a gleaming ideal, but it remains a core part of what makes Batman, Batman. A Closer Look at 2022’s Batsuit Elsewhere, we get some awesome shots of Gotham, the new Batsuit, and even the Grapnel Gun that proves to be a vital part of the Caped Crusader's arsenal. We're anticipating seeing even more from the movie over the coming weeks, but for now, a full gallery of concept art can be found at the link above! The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the titular Dark Knight, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as GCPD’s James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/ Penguin. It also features Barry Keoghan, Jayme Lawson, Alex Ferns, and twins Max and Charlie Carver.

Joel Schumacher, who took over from Burton in Batman Forever(1995), incorporated elements of cyberpunk. Partly because the studio worried Burton’s neo- noir take on the world of Batman might scare away younger viewers. Eric Gagnon did the concept art for the previous game in the series, Batman: Arkham Origins (2013). Map The Batmobile has been a topic of much conversation since The Batman was first announced. Even before Reeves' provided a first look at the car in March, fans were speculating about what Pattinson's version of the Batmobile would like look. Many have compared it to a muscle car, including Wright. Some also feel the car's relatively simple style - at least compared to Batmobiles of the past - suggests Pattinson's Batman won't be quite as drawn to the bells and whistles. Unfortunately, the first images of the Batmobile were fairly dark, making it difficult to spot specific elements. There were mixed reactions to the costume initially, with some laughing at the Riddler's appearance. Given that it was such a departure from prior representations, some took to social media to compare The Batman character to The Gimp from Pulp Fiction and even Michelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Many came to the movie's defense though, expressing interest in its similarities to the Zodiac Killer, and with Dano's disturbing portrayal receiving so much praise upon its release, a lot of negative opinions have since changed. THOR 5 Rumored To Feature Darker Tone Than Taika Waititi's Movies; ROGUE ONE's Gareth Edwards Eyed To Direct

We were playing with Gotham as having this prewar boom time, looking at a lot of architecture from movie palaces where we could play with ornaments and shapes in different ways. It created this idea that the city has fallen on hard times and had various booms and busts along the way, with a lot of unfinished skyscrapers and partially complete construction projects. The last of the Batman signature trifecta is the Batcave. And while we might typically imagine a high-tech stronghold. Reeves’ The Batmantakes us in a different direction. Readers will get an insider’s look at the design and production process for The Batman, including insightful interviews with the filmmaking team and cast; never-before-seen conceptual paintings and set photos exploring this new version of Gotham City; shot-by-shot comparisons between the film and storyboards; and a closer look at the designs for the costumes, vehicles, gadgets, riddles, and more.
