Their products are made in China and are priced favourably when compared to better known brands like Pure and Roberts. Pandora Music As well as radio, the Ocean Digital WR238CD features a Bluetooth receiver, so you can pair it with your phone or tablet and play music through the radio’s speaker. Like all Bluetooth radios on the market at the moment, the WR238CD doesn’t have a Bluetooth transmitter, so you can’t use it with Bluetooth headphones. The WR-26’s built-in speaker provides well-balanced audio. In fact, readers who own late-model compact shortwave portables (like the XHDATA D-808) will recognize the audio characteristics of this small internal speaker that I assume uses an acoustic chamber to provide a better bass response. At least when it comes to the traditional radio, which has a very limited dynamic range and detail level. But DAB radio, well, that’s a different story entirely. DAB Radio basically means digital audio broadcasting. It is also old as the world, having started in 1995, but the newer DAC+ standards allow for almost AAC quality, and even 320kbps AAC for some stations. This means that it will be much better than your typical FM radio signal. I like this functionality because it means I can even connect to streaming sources not found in the Skytune directory like more obscure internet stations, LiveATC and scanner feeds.
