About this deal

LEGO Marvel advent calendar: Featuring superheroes and villains from the Marvel universe, this calendar offers fun mini-builds and figures. The minifigures and mini builds in the LEGO Marvel Studio's Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar 2022 are compatible with all other LEGO Marvel building toys, allowing kids to enjoy the fun Christmas presents all year round. If you’re wondering why Drax is Green, it’s a nod to his comic book appearance, where he’s depicted as green instead of grey like in the James Gunn movies. This is a really nice nod to the character, that will delight Marvel comicbook fans, as it would’ve been really hard to get a green variant of Drax otherwise. The holiday season is fast approaching, and that means new LEGO Advent Calendars! New for 2022, we now have our very first detailed look at two new sets – 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar and 75340 Star Wars Advent Calendar, which should be released on 1 September 2022, as is tradition.

You’ve probably noticed that one member of the team wasn’t listed in that line-up, as Gamora is missing from 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar following the events of Avengers: Endgame. If anything, it’s the only downside of this calendar taking inspiration from the MCU, in which the current version of Gamora has no memory of the Guardians. Consider your budget: LEGO advent calendars vary in price, so choose one that fits your budget while providing the desired features. Some older advent calendars from previous years are cheaper, so keep this in mind if you’re on the hunt for a bargain. We should also get a glimpse of the LEGO City, Harry Potter and LEGO Friends Advent calendars soon! What sets it apart is the sheer number of pieces it offers, making it the most generous in terms of creative possibilities. Furthermore, it strikes a good balance between the holiday spirit and the Star Wars theme, infusing each day with the magic of Christmas while exploring the epic galaxy. This unique blend provides hours of imaginative and inter-generational play, making it a must-have addition to the festive season. How do I choose a LEGO advent calendar? The only bright point is the minifigure lineup, in which you can get the entire Guardians of the Galaxy team (minus Gamora) for a fairly accessible price, as well as Drax and Nebula in their festive ugly Christmas sweaters. The Star Wars Advent Calendar ( see it at Walmart) is mostly spacecraft and droid builds from the movies. My favorite was a miniature AT-ST Walker, which the designers depicted in perfect minimalist fashion. I loved the Advanced TIE Fighter, which again captured the key design elements of the build in a very spare, suggestive manner. And in terms of Christmas-themed accessories, you cannot get cuter than R2-D2 in a Christmas sweater.

Here’s the front of the Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar, which folds out to form a playmat of sorts to display all the mini builds. This year’s LEGO City advent calendar is for ages five and up, however, some reviewers supervise whilst their younger kids (around ages three to four) build some sections. Do LEGO advent calendars sell out?Ahead of Christmas, fans will love discovering a fun new buildable gift every day with the new LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy (76231 ) Kids Advent Calendar , 2023 Edition , featuring never-before-seen Marvel and Disney+ minifigures and accessories LEGO: Available from September 1, 2022 — LEGO Marvel 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar build — Few festive traditions captivate the excitement of Christmas as much as the humble advent calendar, and this year, LEGO has outdone themselves once again with a collection of the best advent calendars for 2023, including updated versions of classic favourites from Star Wars to LEGO City, Harry Potter, Marvel and more. Kids can mix the gifts to recreate their favourite scenes from the Marvel movies, imagine new adventures or combine with other LEGO Marvel sets Overall, not a bad day, especially if you enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy movie references, even if the contents are a little plain, but I appreciate the Easter Eggs included!

Build up to Christmas with the LEGO® Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar! Open a different door each day of December to discover a surprise gift. There are 6 minifigures waiting to be revealed, plus mini builds and accessories. As the big day approaches, bring the gifts together to recreate favourite scenes and Marvel adventures of your own.Drax comes to us in a holiday sweater that features a dancing potted Baby Groot. Drax has traded in his usual daggers for a fork and spoon. What better way to chow down on the table full of treats? Drax’s frenemy Mantis surprises with a blue guitar accessory. (For caroling, I guess?) Oddly, Drax also includes a spur of the purple Infinity Stone (the Power Stone). While this is the stone the Guardians sought to protect in their first movie, it has no immediately obvious purpose here beyond that homage. Even the 3-day ship feels like it should’ve been kept to 2 days at the max, but this has been quite poor, especially when you compare it against the Star Wars, Harry Potter and even Friends Advent Calendars which have largely been excellent. It might seem like a box of random scraps, but each individual item in the crate has a special reference to the Guardians of the Galaxy films, and it was a lot of fun trying to figure out what each item was!

The minifigures and mini builds in the LEGO Marvel Studio's Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar 2022 are compatible with all other LEGO Marvel building toys, allowing kids to enjoy the fun Christmas presents all year round. The LEGO Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar box measures over 10 in. (26 cm) high, 14.5 in. (38 cm) wide and 2.5 in. (7 cm) deep. Contains 268 Pieces. On the inside of each flap door is a picture of its respective build, which also doubles as your instructions; there is no separate booklet to explain how to put these together. In theory, this means that the single picture must be self-evident enough to convey what is typically depicted in multiple steps. The countdown to Christmas is on with The LEGO Guardians of Galaxy Advent Calendar, much to the delight of fans. Behind each of the 24 windows is a buildable toy to play with or decorate a room. After yesterday’s random candy cane (which I’m informed by many of you is Mantis’ that she stole from Kevin Bacon), Day 16 gives us a Hi-Fi system. It utilises the same cassette tape from the walkman, and also comes with 2 bookshelf speakers. This year, I’ll be counting down 4 Advent Calendars – Star Wars, Harry Potter, Friends and the GOTG one. Based on the Milano Spaceship from the first Guardians of the Galaxy, there is some excellent part usage here to translate the Milano’s bird-like silhouette to this microscale build. We FINALLY get a decent build out of the GOTG Advent Calendar with Day 18’s sensational Milano Spaceship.
