There are two versions of Fireman Sam 1: The Hero Next Door and both versions contain a different BBC Video Ident. From Heroes of the Storm onwards, the theme received a brand new guitar arrangement plus other instruments in a modernisation attempt. Both these goofs were corrected in the Series 8 - 9 intro. The Korean dub of the Series 5, the intro is shortened to 30 seconds and starts halfway through the intro.

The pictures of Fireman Sam 1: The Hero Next Door (BBCV 4101) and Fireman Sam 2: Lost Cat (BBCV 4137) - which appear on the cover - are both taken from their original 1988 releases, although the content of all eight episodes from these two Fireman Sam video releases are taken from their original televised broadcasts.
