I would whole Heartly recommend the Evolve 50 over any other comparable line array system out there. In fact, I would recommend it over most conventional speakers as well. I've seen him perform many times when I'm not performing and he usually performed with a Bose system (top of line) or QSC K-12.2s and a sub for larger gigs. Not on this day. Specifications: You would expect any product of this type, brand and price to be well designed and to sound great for its intended purpose, which it does, but often it’s the little practical things that can make the difference. I didn’t find any aspect of the Evolve 50M impractical, annoying, or disappointing — this is a system that delivers all that is promised. In use, it is easy to use and will keep producing output if app control is lost for any reason. Ergonomically designed handles on both the array and the sub to enhance portability. Angled interface gives user easy access to make adjustments and connections on input panel. The processing engine allows for easy setup via four presets (Music, Live, Speech, and Club), three-band EQ, five user-programmable presets (Store and Recall settings), output delay, phantom power (+15V), visual monitoring of limiter status, input level control and meters, and master volume control to ensure optimal gain structure.

Using the DSP menu it is possible to select between four specific voicings: Music, Live, Speech and Club. I used the Live setting for my main tests as I wanted to see how the system performed as a live PA and this setting has the flattest response. There’s an overall three-band EQ with a sweepable mid offering a range of -12 to +6 dB, with the mid sweepable between 200Hz to 12kHz. The user can store and name (up to 12 characters) five custom DSP presets. In addition to adjusting delay and activating phantom power, the LCD also indicates the status of the system’s built-in limiter, showing when it is triggered. Should you push the levels too far and incur clipping, this is also flagged up on the display. Die Bedienung und das Mischen ist per App-Steuerung über Bluetooth in ca. 15 bis 20 Meter Entfernung zur Box kein Problem. Man hat so die Möglichkeit aus dem Orchester heraus noch eine Feinabstimmung vorzunehmen.When I added the second system and ran them as a stereo rig, I was convinced that I’d easily have enough level to run an average band gig in a club or pub. Unfortunately because of the remaining Covid restrictions at the time of testing I wasn’t able to find a live event for a proper road test, but I did take the two Evolve 50M units outside and run them at almost full chat for a while with a wide range of recorded material. The mids and top end carried well (over a mixture of hard standing and grass), and the balance stayed fairly constant over a reasonable distance. Even the two 12‑inch subs managed to keep up and pushed out a decent level, certainly more than I’d have expected given their size and weight, and the sub output level can be controlled independently for achieving the best sound balance. The only way to test PA systems is to use them for real, and I would have been very happy to take these along to a smaller‑scale gig and run a live band through them, but for the special circumstances. As a pair at front of house it’s a real miniature line‑array rig with a clear, powerful, focused sound... Ich nutze bisher 2 Systeme um Hochzeiten, Gospelkonzerte oder kleinere Bandauftritte zu realisieren. Sehr transparent ohne die Höhen zu sehr in den Mittelpunkt zu stellen. Auch die Wiedergabe im Mittenbereich war für ein Säulensystem einfach sehr gut. Instrumente sind differenzierbar und im Stereobetrieb auch gut ortbar.

A man wanted to do a Bob Dylan song (I forgot which one), when he was done, he looked at me and said "wow, I can actually hear the guitar and harmonica". Needless to say, he was impressed. And this was a song he's sang at other places. Apparently, those other speakers didn't bring out the details, harmonics, and nuances in the music like the Evolve 50 does. Portable column-style sound systems have been around for many years, but US veterans Electro-Voice may have just perfected the art. EV says its for when you have the PA up on a stage, with a shorter pole coming to compensate. It still doesn’t account for the 90% of the time the thing sits on the floor. Thankfully it didn’t adversely affect the PA’s definition, and the curve does form a nice bow shape, with a large carry handle rather like a string connecting two ends of a stave. The sound is just incredible. There is rarely a night that I don't get compliments. Here's my latest... EV50M is a super high quality product, works very well and reliably. For about a month of use, I've never had such a single failure on anything with this system (unlike e.g. JBL). Also the mobile app is very reliable and well working. Kudos EV for the high quality product.

Keine extra Kabel vom Sub zur Säule nötig. Alle Anschlüsse gut zugänglich. Rember, when Bose first introduced the line array system, it had no competition. And it got away with charging those ridiculous over inflated prices. People paid those prices since there was nothing else like it on the market. But now there is. Most manufacturers now offer a line array system. And most of them like Electro-Voice, RCF, Maui, Yamaha, etc. offer a lot more, better sound, and are priced much lower.
