About this deal

Computer components improve every year, which increases energy consumption. Consumers generally face overheating problems, so they need to find a way to cool their computer components. This is why we have decided to compare the Corsair QL vs LL, two very powerful fans with RGB lighting. To assign lighting to your fans/strips, you then must select the Lighting Channel you wish to control on the left.

Before investing in a fan, make sure it is compatible with your computer case. The Corsair QL and LL come in two different dimensions, 120mm x 25mm and 140mm x 25mm. If you want to determine a fan’s cooling capacity, you can rely on RPM. RPM or rotation per minute measures how many times a fan makes a full rotation within one minute. The higher the number, the better. NOTE: If you connect 6 QL fans and 4 RGB LED strips to the Lighting Node Pro, you will only be able to select and customize the fans in iCUE.

Corsair QL and LL use pulse width modulation control. However, the Corsair QL has the fastest PWM, which further reduces the on/off switching. This actually decreases the duty cycle. https://www.corsair.com/ca/en/Categories/Products/Fans/sp-series-rgb-led-config/p/CO-9050059-WW#tab-tech-specs

if youre installing a fan in a very restrictive place, like in front of a bunch of hard drives, then a SP fan will perform better because it will have higher CFM at high mmH2O compared to the AF fan this other type of screw goes in very slow but it is a lot stronger at pushing into things because moving the same distance forward requires more turns, and more turns = more work done https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Fans/RGB-%26-LED-Fans/iCUE-SP-Series-RGB-PRO-Performance/p/CO-9050094-WW The program allows you to set up not only each individual fan but each LED within it. The ICUE also allows you to light up the inner ring, outer ring, and little nodes inside the Corsair fans. To assign lighting to your fans or strips, select the fan series you want to edit on the left menu. These two models are pretty similar when it comes to fan speed. The LL model has a speed range between 600 and 1500 RPM. Although the minimum speed is 600 RPM, the Corsair LL is not loud. As shown in the picture above, a duty cycle is how long the signal is turned on versus turned off. For instance, a duty cycle of 100% means the signal is always on.

CFM or cubic feet meter is a unit for measuring the amount of air pushed by a fan through a specific area. The Corsair QL has a static pressure of 41.8 cubic feet meter, and the LL model has 43.25 cubic feet meter. The lower this number is, the better. The minimum RPM for the QL model is 525. On the contrary, the minimum rotation per minute for the Corsair LL is 600.

Either let iCUE automatically detect your Corsair fans, or manually select the appropriate product.

Which one is better? It depends on the application and more often how much fan speed you are willing to tolerate. The AF fan will still move a ton of air at high speeds, but you will have to live with the noise. If you are trying for a super quiet set-up, the SP will fare better with dust filters and radiators at low speed.

SP or other blades with a static pressure emphasis go the other direction. There should be a fewer number of blades (usually 7), they are wide with little space between those blades, and their rake is typically rather flat. As such, it is always going to be less capable of moving a volume of air at the same speed as an AF-style fan. However, it is far less impacted by resistance like radiators or dust filters. It also has a more focused airflow cone making it better for directly cooling hardware or pushing air through that radiator. In the second drop-down box, select how many of each device is connected to your Lighting Controller. When comparing the Corsair QL and LL official specifications, we see that the QL model delivers more noise. The Corsair QL sound level is 26 dBA. However, the sound level of the LL model is 24.8 dBA. NOTE: If you select a LIGHTING LINK effect in Lighting Type, it will apply the lighting effect to all iCUE-compatible devices currently connected to your PC.
