About this deal

Rechargeable Ni-MH battery (AA, HR6) x 6 Current Draw 155 mA Expected battery life under continuous use Alkaline battery: Approximately 20 hours We’ve already noted you get the AC adaptor and the i-Cube link cable thrown in. Oh and there’s a chromatic tuner on the top panel.

Features: Variable – the 50w basically comes with nothing, the 500w has XLR output, effects loop, horn defeat, additional 8 ohm speaker output, overdrive circuit and 2 – 10″ speakers. Features change with the size of the amp you choose. Of course, some guitarists will definitely prefer a more simplistic approach, but for others needing a broader sonic palette, amp modeling is the way to go. Another benefit is the ability to record awesome guitar sounds direct without the hassle of mic’ing up a guitar cab at ear shattering volumes. But conversely, there are situations where mini guitar amps REALLY come into their own. Generally, people buy these pint-sized practice amps for two main reasons:The MICRO CUBE GX features the same ultra-compact footprint, battery-powered operation, and big tone that made the original MICRO CUBE such a massive hit around the globe. With up to 25 hours of playing time using six NiMH AA-size batteries, you can enjoy uninterrupted fun while jamming at home, at the beach, on camping trips, at parties—wherever! Increased power output delivers even better performance than before, and a chromatic tuner is built in, eliminating the need to carry an external tuner when you play. Guitarists and bassists have come to rely on Roland and BOSS for the best effects in the world. The MICRO CUBE RX benefits from this world-leading technology, offering eight built-in COSM amps, six digital effects, three band EQ, and a chromatic tuner. Immersive Stereo FX After two weeks or fairly intensive use in Turkey, my first set of batteries was still going strong, but as I sold it with the batteries still inside, I can’t say when they finally gave out! It may seem a bit flimsy and non-durable. As the cheapest option here, consider it as the budget practice amp of preference. It is also battery-powered, like the Micro Cube.

You definitely don’t need the app if it doesn’t appeal. The Roland Micro Cube is perfectly capable of standing up and making the grade on its own merits, but there’s no doubt that Cube Jam adds a new dimension. The MICRO CUBE GX features the same ultra-compact footprint, battery-powered operation, and big tone that made the original MICRO CUBE such a massive hit around the globe. The Roland Micro CUBE GX is a great practice amp, but if used for busking, you will always be thinking about upgrading. It is indeed versatile, in that it offers many amp models and effects, but none would really be at home in a professional setting. With a fresh set of batteries or rechargeable batteries, mobile use without a power outlet is possible for about 20-25 hours. The Micro Cube is worn on a mini-guitar strap, which clamps to strap pins on the side. I had this amp for five years, and it is the one I have made the most out of. Previously I had a cheap Harley Benton (CG1O X Street) that sounded tinny, and after it suddenly broke, I decided to get this Roland Cube. Consider them the ultimate compact amps with high-quality, powerful sound. The cutting-edge speakers used in the MICRO CUBE RX are custom designed and built specially for these amps. Stereo Power Amps If you see a busker using an wedge-shaped amp, and you hear a great sound, they are most probably either using this amp or the discontinued Crate Limo. The Roland CUBE Street Ex is not as good tonally as a Fishman Loudbox Artist (see below), but for the price and portability you really can’t go wrong. It is light enough to carry comfortably, it’s easy to use and the wedge shape helps with projecting your sound – a sound that is both clean and natural.

The second control is reverb and delay. Here you have delay, reverb and spring (reverb). Again, the effect volume is controllable.
