About this deal

Indeed, the mindset of the majority of people is to keep spending on "new" - of course this is the result of consumerism, marketing, and capitolism.

As well as the above technical innovations, the RP-7000 MK2 GLD is equipped with a few functions that will make any DJ’s life much easier. The newly developed aluminium LED target light is freely moveable to help you find the stylus position in dark surroundings. The target light is also removable and easily exchanged. Thanks to the recessed rear connection panel, the RP-7000 MK2 can easily be mounted in a flight case and seamlessly positioned next to other DJ gear. The switchable integrated phono pre-amp makes it is possible to use the gold-plated RCA connectors for both phono and line output signals. An optional ground terminal offers additional protection in club environments. All cable connections (RCA / mains) are detachable and easy to exchange, which also helps with transport and storage. Killer value from DJ brand Reloop. Classic SL1200-inspired design with solid build quality, accurate sound reproduction plus modern features like a 50% pitch option and reverse button. It seems that I have an over-average sensitivity to wow&flutter, Anything over 0.10 – I can hear it and it bothers me.They also sound better than any other music station serving this market. And they’re the only station left here still using HD Radio. Three other stations here dropped HD. Yes I know HD Radio uses lossy compression and is hated by DX’ers and old school radio enthusiasts. The Reloop 7000 is a *significant* step up in quality from the LP120. Much better motor, better tonearm, damped platter, etc. To equate it to the LP120 is patently ridiculous. With the RP-7000 MK2, Reloop has built a turntable that caters to the high demands of professional DJs and modern nightclubs. With its powerful direct drive motor and rugged construction they were able to develop a sturdy and indestructible turntable that can take on harsh everyday life with ease.

What does NAB have to say about the use of very lossy MP3 files? The vast majority of radio stations load up their automation systems with compressed digital files of dubious audio quality and provenance. Sometimes they rip stuff from YouTube! The comparison was fascinating because I could hear the, as it where, family resemblance. That sense of timing and pace supported by the direct drive motor. Both were swift and sprightly in their underlying rhythms. Built for the club: Rigid chassis construction with an even heavier design with additional reinforcements out of metal, rubber and moulding compound for high vibration damping and isolation As well as the above technical innovations, the RP-7000 MK2 GLD is equipped with a few functions that will make any DJ's life much easier. The old LP120s are going into the station’s production studio, not the landfill.

This rarified atmosphere was more of a challenge for the Turn 5. Although there was not quite the same focus, midrange insight, tonal realism, delicacy or subtlety from the Turn 5 it was not enough to damn this turntable because it held enough of all of those factors to make a brave fist of its musical presentation. All of these deficits were not major, the RPM 3 edged each and every one but the Turn 5 was never embarrassed. Beneath the platter is a three-phase, 16-pol brushless DC motor supporting speeds of 33.3, 45 and 78RPM with quartz speed control and an illuminated strobe. The motor provides 4.3KG/CM of starting torque, spinning its platter up to speed in a Meer 0.2 seconds and braking electronically in the same amount of time. Rating

This sense of urgency, muscle and authority was also of great benefit during electronica and beats-related LPs (i.e. Kraftwerk and a selection of vinyl LPs from the Ninja Tune label) as it provided clout and control over a genre of music that, without such control, can become unwieldy and bloomy in the bass. Not here, the Turn 5 was able to retain discipline at all times. As well as the above technical innovations, the RP-7000 MK2 is equipped with a few functions that will make any DJ's life much easier. The newly developed aluminium LED target light is freely moveable to help you find the stylus position in dark surroundings. The target light is also removable and easily exchanged. An additional start / stop button has also been integrated to facilitate a vertical setup (battle position) and by using the buttons on the RP-7000 MK2's top panel, you can switch between the three motor speeds (33 1 / 3, 45 & 78 rpm). Dedicated buttons for forward and reverse mode allow for further creativity in your mix. A phono/line level switch so the turntable can output line level signal for use with mixers without phono level inputs
