Unfortunately I don't enjoy the lofty status of the many YouTubers out there who have the luxury of benchmarking their luggage against other offerings, but I can at least claim impartiality with my review. I do a feel a little "corporate" as I also use the Overlander bag (terrific) and the LR ADV tent (also, terrific).

The Lone Rider ADV tent isn’t one of them. Sure, you can arrange the poles first, then secure it against the waterproof outer layer and then clip the inner tent onto the pole structure last. It’ll do the job but it’s a little tedious. The rainfly is ideal for protection against the rain, wind, and sun. For even more weather protection this tent has welded floors with inverted seams to prevent any rain or water from getting in. Side opening –This is less common. The roll closure is on one side of the bag and this makes them far more effective at keeping water, dust and dirt out. The downside is that you need to take everything out of your bag to get to the items at the bottom. The compact dome sleeps two comfortably with room for two camp pads, and the exterior holds up to wind and rain equally well. When the weather allows, the rain fly can be removed to reveal an all-mesh interior for better ventilation and stargazing. A small front vestibule provides extra dry storage for gear or a two-wheeler. While bulkier than most on this list, it still weighs less than nine pounds, making it an ideal choice for motorcycle and bicycle campers.

Fourth, it had to be 3 man because its used for camping with my little man (a 4ft tall 4 yr old takes up more room than you would expect. Hes a little giant!). And i like the extra room. I wonder if the script was longer and it was butchered to fit into a 2 hour time slot on TV? Or was the script so bad this was all the director had to work with? Or was the editor at fault in fitting the movie into a 2 hour time slot? A number of scenes come so rapid fire to establish continuity and move the plot along, but they are so short and jarring that I wondered what I was missing. The Lone Rider ADV tent comes in a waterproof compression bag. It also features a molle system which you can easily secure onto panniers or other luggage solutions. I love that it features a roadside breakdown safety triangle. Let’s be honest, nobody carries one around. But knowing you’ve got one on you at all times is a great feature! As a fellow twenty-three year old woman on a long distance, solo motorcycle trip (albeit significantly less than 35,000 miles), it was unlikely that I wouldn't enjoy this book. However, I didn't expect to enjoy it quite as much as I did. It was the intimacy, vulnerability, and rawness of her memoir that engaged me, and I really identified with Elspeth's character in a way that I hadn't expected to. I often find it difficult to stumble upon women like her, and I think that part of the reason I was so enthralled with her story was the headstrong and unapologetic way she responded to what were often devastating and incalculable challenges. Overlander Fitment

As Madras emerged through the mist, it was exactly as she anticipated it would be, crumbling, chaotic, colourful and yet charming. Riding in this country would be a challenge and she had to reach Nepal so she could meet up with her parents for the first time in a long time, so had made the decision to take the train from Madras to Calcutta. It was a wise decision as it saved her at least two days travelling. Heading north from Calcutta, she realised how challenging it would be on the roads just to stay alive. Every time she stopped, especially in what seemed to be an empty part of the country, she was immediately surrounded by Indian men wanting to touch the bike. It was hard going, but she made it into Nepal. Mark arrived and they decided to take one of the organised treks up into the mountains. In 2020 we mostly camped in Germany, Austria, France and the Checz Republic. We didn’t have much rain that summer and I don’t recall ever setting up the tent in the rain. But in 2021 we rode from Land’s End to John ‘O Groats. I can’t tell you how many nights of downpour we encountered in Wales and the Scottish Highlands alone. And sometimes we even had a solid week of rain!
