About this deal

The denon avr-x2700h is a versatile and powerful receiver designed for use in home theater systems. With seven audio output channels, it is capable of delivering 95W of power per channel at 20-20KHz with an 8 Ohm impedance, making it suitable for use with a range of speaker types. The receiver also offers 125W of power output per channel at 1KHz with an 8 Ohm impedance, and 150W of power output per channel at 1KHz with a 6 Ohm impedance, providing a wide range of options for customization. In our listening room, we put the AVR-X2800H through its paces with a 5.1.2 set-up using Dolby Atmos speaker toppers. Starting with Dune on Blu-ray in Dolby Atmos, we’re instantly aware that despite many of its internal components remaining the same as the 2700, the 2800 has been tuned to produce a more open, well-spread soundstage that’s less reliant on heavy low-end prowess to produce a mature and authoritative sound.

Despite the price hike, the AVR-X2800H still sits at the head of the class, just as its excellent predecessor did. Unlike its step-up 'AVC' siblings, the X2700H wears that AVR prefix with pride. It's a receiver in the traditional sense, complete with steampunk FM/AM. To be honest, I can't imagine this old-school tuner will get any use, not least because there are far more exciting things you can do with this Denon. Been having a bit of a lurk about after a long break from AVF, it was the classic 'everything has been working fine so why change' scenario hence not been around for a whileImmerse yourself in 3D audio with Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology, DTS:X and DTS Virtual:X.

With a generous six inputs and two outputs, the HDMI board on the AVR-X2800H has been upgraded for this model to include three HDMI 2.1 ports capable of 8K@60Hz or 4K@120Hz video pass-through at up to 40Gbps. The three remaining HDMI 2.0 ports have a bandwidth of 18Gbps but all inputs boast 4:4:4 chroma sub-sampling and compatibility with various HDR codecs, including HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG). A phono input is included to directly connect your turntable, allowing you to enjoy your vinyl collection with high quality sound. Dual subwoofer outputs provide smooth, room-filling bass with no peaks or dips to immerse you with powerful, full bass. With Audyssey Room Correction, use the supplied microphone to perfectly calibrate the AV receiver to your room for optimum sound. Denon AVR-X2700H 7.2 Channel 8K UHD AV Receiver with 3D audio and built-in HEOS technology HEOS multi-room music systems connect together by dual-band Wi-Fi, making them easy to set up with your existing home network. Up to 32 HEOS units can be set up at one time, ensuring even the largest of homes are covered for multi-room music. With HEOS already built-in, the AVR-X2700H is ready to go as a single 'zone' without any further adaptors. HEOS Built-in wireless multi-room music streaming technology: Listen from any room for a connected, whole-home audio experience. The AVR-X2700H also works with the newly introduced Denon Home speakers to let you enjoy a whole-home audio experience. Upgrade your home theatre with the Denon AVR-X2700H. With 150W per channel, this performance-tuned Denon AV receiver provides a truly immersive 3D audio experience through Dolby Atmos or DTS:X. Even if you don't have dedicated ceiling speakers, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology and DTS Virtual:X will upgrade your movie nights like never before. The AVR-X2700H supports the latest HDMI video technologies such as 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz*1*2pass-through, Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, Dynamic HDR, HLG, as well as 8K upscaling and HDCP 2.3 support on all HDMI inputs (6 in/2 out).

Award-winning Denon Setup Assistant and graphical user interface: Easy and intuitive out-of-box setup experience. All Zone TV audio: Play the audio from your TV to another zone for your favourite shows without losing fully discrete surround sound in the main zone. Starting with the Sony TA-AN1000, it features seven channels of amplification, which can be configured in up to a 7.1 or 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos arrangement. It has two HDMI 2.1 output connections and six HDMI 2.1 inputs, although only two are rated for 4K/120Hz or 8K/60Hz. As its Product of the Year Award status may suggest, the Denon AVR-X2800H is a brilliant home cinema amp. It offers a more spacious and refined sound when compared with its predecessor, which is surprising as it shares many of the same components as the AVR-X2700H.

The Denon AVC-X6700H, AVC-X4700H, AVC-X3700H and AVR-X2700H (DAB) AV receivers use the latest HDMI technologies with a dedicated “8K” HDMI input for 8K / 60Hz and 4K / 120Hz video Pass-through and support for new HDR formats (including HDR10 + and Dynamic HDR). If we had to use one word to describe the receiver’s sound, it would be ‘confident’. The AVR-X2700H doesn’t try to overly impress as a lower budget amp, with explosions and thunderous lows delivered. The AVR-X2800H ups the ante with more HDMI 2.1 inputs, a new user-friendly interface and, most importantly, a more responsive, coherent and spacious sound. It retains Denon’s signature authoritative weight but refines and balances it with a bolder top end that can do better justice to both music and movies. With its onboard room calibration software and a modernised full-screen interface, it's relatively easy to use and well-equipped. Built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with 2.4GHz/5GHz dual band support: Solid wireless network connectivity even in congested environments.

Whose interest is aroused, however, has to wait a bit: The AVR will unfortunately not appear until September 2020. It is also compatible with 2.8 / 5.6 MHz DSD files (DSD is SACD’s audio coding format). The measurement takes place via the Audyssey room calibration. It's called driving, Marcus!' proclaims Will Smith during the opening road race sequence of Bad Boys for Life. You could also call it a perfect demonstration of this Denon receiver's ability to lift and separate high and low. After only a few seconds with this AVR, I was hooked. Below you will find the further technical data of the new Denon AVR-X2700H. The receiver will be available from September 2020 for 649 dollars. The DAB version is somewhat more expensive and comes on the market at the same time for 679 dollars. Specifications Denon AVR-X2700H
