Definitely not my favourite of these books! (Their Lost Daughters is by far the best to date) However perhaps I am just being sensitive. To those who do not get so attached to the characters (and their pets), I'm sure this would be enjoyable. Do I even have to bother mentioning how amazing Richard Armitage is at this point? His array of voices are incredible – even his female voices are impressive and his ‘old people’ voices are jaw dropping. Best voice actor I’ve heard on Audible, and that’s quite the compliment. The fourth season of “Brilliant Friend” is being directed by Laura Bispuri, known for the transgender-themed drama “Sworn Virgin” and for “Daughter of Mine.” Both films starred Rohrwacher and played in Berlin. When something terrible happened, there was always more than one victim. Disaster had a ripple effect., like a pebble thrown into a lake, drawing in many more people than those directly involved."
The characters are still wonderful, the narration great, but the storyline itself...very depressing. Der Einstieg klappt auch ohne Vorkenntnisse extrem gut. Die unterschiedlichen Charaktere im Team waren mir zu Beginn etwas zu viel, doch erschien mir jeder Charakter interessant und hat mich neugierig gemacht mehr über sie zu erfahren. Daher sind die beiden ersten Teile der Reihe schon auf meiner Wunschliste gelandet. Zwar habe ich noch keinen Kriminalroman von Joy Ellis gelesen, doch der Klappentext hat mich sofort neugierig gemacht.

The narration was slow so I switched to reading the book instead. (This says quite a bit about me wanting to push through this store to find out what happened next because it’s narrated by my FAVE narrator and I ditched him lol) Was in the area on Saturday and my friend who lives nearby said that they were having burgers at the weekend and suggested we eat there. Saverio Costanzo, who shaped the show and directed most episodes of its first two seasons, serves as executive producer, along with Paolo Sorrentino, Jennifer Schuur,Elena Recchia and Guido De Laurentiis. The story and screenplays are by Elena Ferrante, Francesco Piccolo, Laura Paolucci and Costanzo. Perfect for fans of Rachel Abbott, Sarah A. Denzil, Robert Bryndza, Mel Sherratt, Angela Marsons, Colin Dexter, or Ruth Rendell.
The story is written beautifully, I simply found the plot wrong. I expected the ending extremely early on (as in, within the first 30 minutes), and while it was executed wonderfully - and I truly did enjoy reading it - the storyline itself felt rough and not as well thought-out as the other books. The series is produced by Lorenzo Mieli for The Apartment and Wildside (both Fremantle companies) and by Domenico Procacci for Fandango, in collaboration with RAI Fiction and HBO Entertainment.Secondly; there is a lot of sadness in this story. Sad people, sad conditions, sad introductory chapter. Most of all, as I mentioned above, an innocent dog is killed. I know that may not be an issue for some people, but I found it really upsetting to read. In the past I have found these books somewhat uplifting. They carry adrenalin throughout, but always end well, with a pleasant result. This ending was entirely melancholy and left me feeling very down. I had the 'Karate kid' which was beef, bacon, American cheese, deep fried goats cheese and chilli jam. I'm very glad I decided not to go for the double burger as it was difficult enough to eat as it was!Good patty. Lovely well cooked bacon. Really good deep fried goats cheese and a crazy amount of sweet chilli sauce! All in a really fresh soft bun. Looking for your next unputdownable mystery?
