Longhorns are long-horned cattle of Spanish derivation, formerly common in the southwestern U.S. They became known as particularly tough and fierce but also smart and courageous. Their telltale longhorns became symbolic of all things Texan and Western in general. The “sign of the horns” also has a variety of meanings, not all very nice. Origins Representing strength, power and protection, bears are fierce predators. Bear skull tattoos are a great choice for anyone wanting to embrace their wild side with something a little different. In 1927 the US Congress set up a federal herd of purebred Longhorns at the Witchita Mountains Wildlife Refuge near Cache, Oklahoma and it was from these cattle that many of our Cahill Ranch cows descended. Some articles online will recommend bleaching your bones. NEVER use bleach on bones to get them white. Why you may ask? Bleach undermines the structural integrity of the bones, so they won’t last. Try to avoid using any cleaning products or detergents that may contain bleach in them when degreasing your bones. (We’ll talk about how to properly degrease your bones a bit later.)
