Do not take this product for anything other than its intended use (see section 1) and never take more than the recommended amount (see section 3). Serious heart problems (symptoms of which include fast or irregular heartbeat) have been reported in patients who have taken too much loperamide, the active ingredient in this medicine. Please note that these tablets relieve the symptoms of diarrhoea only and should not be used as a substitute for rehydration treatment. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the blister and box. Theexpiry date refers to the last day of that month. Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucosegalactose malabsorption or sucrose-isomaltase insufficiency and the Lapp lactase deficiency should not take this medicine.
