It was a given that as soon as Casca was introduced, she was going to be brutalised at some point. This is not the type of manga where she could exist as the primary love interest of Guts, the main character, and not get raped. The fact that this happens and she immediately regresses into a shell of herself, and the fact that it was so graphically depicted, was very much not appreciated. She is the main female character in this manga - the others only coming in terms of girls that Guts rescues and immediately get forgotten about, random women/children who are raped/brutally murdered and immediately forgotten about, and the princess that Griffith threw his whole life away to screw (and whose father coincidentally tried to rape her). The bar was incredibly low, but Casca was decent if still devoted wholly to two men and existing almost entirely just to be an object of desire and to provide motivation to the mcs.

He is left-handed. In 1976, at the early age of 10, Miura made his first Manga, entitled "Miuranger", that was published for his classmates in a school publication; the manga ended up spanning 40 volumes.
