Steven is written to be insufferable and hated, and I can say with full certainty that Laure Van Rensburg does just that by the end of chapter one. The real winners are the thrilling atmosphere of Chesapeake Bay and THE HOUSE scared the living daylights out of me!

Steven is a monster, and I wanted him get everything he deserved as soon as possible so I could finish this book, and I truly could care less about Ellie. The storytelling and the writing are excellent giving a complete inside view to who these two people really are although it takes a little too long to get to the down and dirty.
