After the final battle with Bowser, the player looks out from the stadium at Bowser's other platform, where the canisters containing all the Mini Stars burst and release them back to where they once were. It's still pretty much the same team making the game, as many Hudson employees were absorbed by Nintendo. But every party will always be subverted by this entry's reliance on randomness to "shake things up," as Bowser puts it when he is about to do something awful to you. When playing on a board, the type of space the vehicle lands on determines what type of minigame is played. Collectively, players must combine their strength to defeat classic foes such as Bowser™ and King Boo while still playing competitively to boost their own individual scores. In these minigames, once a player completes the goal, the minigame ends; in other modes, other players are still active even after the goal is completed. The game's story mode, Solo Mode involves the players traveling across all six boards to defeat Bowser and save the Mini Stars. Koopa is fully playable for the first time in the series, while Magikoopa also makes his playable Mario Party debut.Not in the board game mode at least, but the Extras menu holds a few intriguing alternatives, from an addictive puzzle game with the most infuriating music to Goomba Bowling, where you throw red shells at waves of Goombas.

If you're forth, expect to receive stars no matter what, while the one in first places loses them whenever possible.
