I wasn’t going to read anymore in this series but then I found it available on the library ebook site and I was bored at work so I gave it a try.

Some may view my opinion as the difference of age/intended audience and while it may be that, only partially. I feel bad that this review is mostly critiques, but maybe this is the point where I realize this series is no longer for me. I guess I didn't really realize Nikki's life was unfolding in the beginning but, I definitely realized it in the end! I knew I had to read it before I gave her the book today after school and it got lost in the jungle that is an 8 year old's bedroom. I give this book five stars because of it's introduction to new characters to freshen things up, it's constant funny one-liners(ex: the scene where Nikki's Dad messes up the social media names, the line about MacKenzie pulling Nikki's 'hospital plug' for her cell phone battery, etc.

I just want it to get back to its roots, being a positive influence for adorkable girls trying to find their way in a super awkward time of their lives. My daughters grew up on the dramas of the Kardashians and younger sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner so young teens having their own reality TV show and angsting over trips to Paris is all pretty believable. Dork Diaries was her debut novel and there are now over ten books in the internationally bestselling series which has appeared on the NYT bestseller top ten non-stop for over a year, and which has over 19 million copies in print worldwide. Will this new friendship RUIN her relationship with her BFFs, Chloe and Zoey, and her CRUSH, Brandon?Since Nikki is still worried about what Andrea will be like, Chloe and Zoey tell her to send her an e-mail and ask some questions. Due to being the ambassador for the visiting student, Nikki cancels her plans to help her friends out so she can give Andrea the tour. If I was her age I wouldn't be able to stop myself from emulating Nikki and, really, that's not a bad thing! Zoey and Chloe hope they'll get their own TV shows from this, which Nikki seems skeptical about due to a past experience, but she is willing to support them all the way. We found this an easy read for 9 -10 year olds but would also recommend it to up to 13yr olds as well.It seems Andrea is a little nervous about attending WCD, but Nikki tells her she has nothing to worry about and she'll make sure her week there is a memorable one.
