About this deal

Set in a small town in Maine, Broken Souls is a story of how Mark and Alicia let go of their past demons and move forward and build a life together. She has an annoying habit of pre-empting everything, which is especially annoying in her personal relationships with her family and Boyd. And I understand that bc that’s what the book is telling me but I’m not FEELING it in the way the book describes it. They have this pseudo push pull thing going on that we don't really get to see because most of it is told in past tense after stuff happens.

I don't know why it's painful though because I'm still stuck back at where they could hardly speak to each other civilly before the entire story jumped ahead. i was laying down cozy in my bed until i got to chapter 19 or 20 and i shot up so quick and didnt move until chapter 28😭 i read the second book so long ago so hearing alicia’s story and how its tied to mark my jaw was on the floor. Two apparent suicides are discovered but both are wearing wedding dresses so suspicions are raised that the deaths were in fact murders. Seventh book featuring DI Lottie Parker but first of mine, this was again a different police procedural. Before I start diving into this review, I´m gonna do something that is unusual for me and give a trigger warning beforehand. If a family member is able to take the animal we will need to be informed beforehand and will carry out a new home check. Later that day, Fiona Heffernan, a nurse at a local nursing home is found dead by a colleague, having fallen from the roof three floors up.

The premise for BROKEN SOULS was intriguing with two women found dead in suspected suicides, both wearing wedding dresses. So I was excited to see where this one would lead, as I thoroughly enjoyed the last book "Final Betrayal" but for the cliffhanger Ms Gibney left us on. My spine doesn’t shiver, my blood doesn’t boil, and my heart doesn’t break when she share snippets and details. Once again, I still know more about characters from other books than the main characters from this one. I was pretty irritated when I finished book 6, suggesting that perhaps it was time to wrap up the Parker series. After the bombshell delivered at the end of this book, I can hardly wait to see what happens for Lottie next! There is a constant pull they have that just oozed with sexual tension and was sure to explode at any given moment. The heroine Alicia had a tragic past and tries to be on her own, escaping the interference of her family. Fiona Heffernan was a nurse at the Ballydoon Abbey nursing home and, having finished her shift the day before she was to married, she is found dead by a colleague, having seemingly thrown herself from the Abbey roof.

The girls decide to go to NYC for Christmas taking Louis with them and their newly discovered uncle. We also network with other rescues across the UK to find placements for animals and sometimes award financial grants to support those animals we help place. Looking at Cara's bruised and battered body, she wonders who could have hated her enough to kill her at the happiest time of her life. We DO adopt out to people without gardens and with children, but it is assessed on each individual animals needs and suitability. Regarding those heavy subjects I just wanted to add that this book ends in a HEA for all characters involved.

Wow this album is definitely another complete masterpiece from Distant Dream, and this album art is so gorgeous ! Have always admired the visual detail that went into 'Foyle's War' and how high quality the production values are, with beautiful costumes, the evocative way the characters are made up, the look of the houses and cars, pretty locations and authentic-looking scenery.

Another solid whodunnit featuring DI Lottie Parker , her ragged band of detectives and her ongoing work and maybe more relationship with Boyd.
