And at the end, Murch tells us the best thing an editor can remember is that we see films the way we see dreams, in cut up pieces that connect together in some magical way. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend this seller to anyone looking for quality items.

As more full versions are cut and screened you slowly start to see the film for what it is, removing yourself from the work. Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages. Most of what we experience visually from the moment we get up is a continous stream of linked images. I actually love how Kat plays with the characters at the start, challenging the status quo and hierarchical and gender roles, and giving us a clear view of how this team is going to work. So not to extend this summary, I won’t get into the details of these chapters other than to list briefly, a few key thoughts of Walter on the matter.

In The Blink of an Eye makes it clear you need to imagine yourself in that cinema seat, popcorn in hand. It contains much the same (and more) content and is crafted by Ondaatje to emphasize not just Murch's genius, but also his humility and eager, genuine curiosity. There are clues you can pick up on, and links that can be made fairly quickly given what we as readers know verses what the Detectives are able to uncover, but the who and the why .This is a real person trying to get through the day and use her emotional intelligence in the right way. This is just the first of many disagreements between the pair, but as it becomes very clear that some of the cases might be linked, they start to work together, although not without the moments of conflict as you might expect. I was quite unsure at the start as to how the story would go with AIDE (Artificially Intelligent Detective Entity) working alongside detectives on solving misper cases but after a few chapters I immediately became engrossed. If this book did anything for me, it helped me fall in love more with the art of editing, but I'm not sure if it gave me a lot of insight on how to be a better editor.
