The story is told with chapters that alternate from the build up to the wedding, to chapters from Audrey's past, some six-seven years ago, when she met Fred, and also charting the build up of her relationship with Josh some time later. Witty and heartfelt, Before I Do takes a familiar trope and turns it on its head, and readers will find themselves tearing through this book to find out how it ends. But romance should be unpredictable and full of fireworks, and as the big day approaches, Audrey’s found herself wondering if Josh really is “The One.

The synopsis of this story sounded so interesting to me, but in execution, the conflict in this story didn’t actually make any sense. This book is so emotional, approaching and discussing so important things like choices we made, the fate we’re destined, finding “the one”! guy, the man she met six years ago and had one amazing day with but never saw again - Audrey can't help but see it as a sign. Unfortunately, I really didn’t care for the main character, and it’s not common that that happens for me when I’m reading.

But I think that’s because I am always here for the *drama*, and this story definitely had plenty of that. A must-read that will make you laugh out loud and take a breath in equal measure and you will not be able to put this book down. P. And I was able to see why Audrey was so indecisive and watched her grow and become a better person, one worthy of love. Summary: After a “meet cute” to end “meet cutes”, Audrey and Fred spend an incredible day together in what feels like the start of a relationship destined for greatness. They share a flat and a bank account, and it's the only relationship that Audrey's ever had that feels like something she can put her trust in. A thoughtful and romantic story about the moments and choices that change our lives in unexpected ways….
