Whether you're a fan of conspiracy theory or not, the facts presented, and the conclusions drawn, in this book, are thought-provoking and outrageous. His political understanding is embarassing to say the least, but I guess it's very common in the libertarian wing of liberalism. I wouldn’t say it is an easy read as it is mostly about the history of political conspiracy and that just isn’t a light simple read. Allen's approach to the subject matter is from the political and economic position and at little over 100 pages is a concise and well respected account.

The most bizarre thing about this way of looking at politics is that it doesn't tell you much about what we're getting "more of" as we go further right or further left, other than "extremism," which tells you quite little. On the left you have total government to varying degrees, such as Communism, Fascism (Nazi), Fabianism (some form of democracy/mob rule), and he lists some historical dictatorships as well; some of these are more complete dictatorships than others, due to inclination, technology, etc. He contends that there is a four-step process by the Establishment's Power Elite which includes: (1) Establishing an income tax system as a means of extorting money from the common man / (2) Establishing a central bank, deceptively named so that people will think it is part of the government / (3) Once established have the bank be the holder of the national debt / (4) Then run the national debt, and the interest, sky high through wars (or other sorts of deficit spending), as seen starting with World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam. It consistently claims that there are no coincidences in politics, and mocks those who believe in coincidences as "accidentalists".

They are even telling you that being against the conspiracy is antisemitic, maybe you should just believe them? It is a matter of public record that the Federal Reserve Bank system is not a government institution (no more "federal" than Federal Express), rather privately owned by a handful of very wealthy families. At the center of the "World Supra-Government" as Allen sees it is the Council on Foreign Relations, which grows out of older world-government schemes, starting with the Rothschild family, and which controls nearly all global corporate and federal governmental bodies.

If you think something nefarious has been going on and felt alone, this book will make you realize that you're NOT crazy. I assume this is to eliminate open-minded readers who are naturally predisposed to disagree and bore those looking to have some laughs at the tinfoil hat crowd's expense.
