If you use the Rival range, there is really no option other than the NERF Rival Kronos, but don’t be fooled – it is a truly excellent blaster! Easy to fill, these blasters allow your kids to soak their target with the press of a trigger–just the way to cool off during hot summer days.

The NERF Triad is one of my favorite backup weapons in a NERF war, it is small, compact, easy to use with 3x the amount of darts to play with in a single pistol. A back up is something smaller, that can be tucked into your boot or belt just in case all else fails. But as a Nerf fan, you should have at least one of these flywheel-powered blasters with acceleration triggers in your collection. The NERF N-Strike Mega Cyclone shock is part of the Mega range, which means that, like the Rival Kronos, it does not fire the usual N-Strike Elite darts.I have included the NERF Jolt simply because, this, the smallest NERF blaster, packs such a punch for a tiny little thing and has become a legend in the NERF world. You really do not want something that swings around on a lanyard if you are going to be moving around.

This tiny little blaster holds three N-Strike Elite foam darts with the power to send them around 100 feet. The workings of the BowStrike are very similar to the GlowShot (see below) although there are a few subtle differences. Overall a really nice blaster, but possibly a little too big for smaller kids, but one they will grow into.

Note that there is also such a thing as semi-automatic Nerf guns, which are very different from full-auto blasters.
