About this deal

Communication Problems' sees Basil (Cleese) forced to deal with a deaf guest while attempting to conceal his gambling win from Sybil (Prunella Scales). Cast to perfection the series found Cleese playing much put-upon Torquay hotel owner Basil Fawlty, Prunella Scales as his domineering wife Sybil, Connie Booth as Polly, the dependable maid and Andrew Sachs in the role of Manuel, the non-comprehending, tyrannized waiter from Barcelona. The third disc has all the additional material, the best of which are new interviews with John Cleese, Andrew Sachs and Prunella Scales.

In ‘The Hotel Inspectors’, Basil goes into fawning overdrive when he learns that a group of hotel inspectors are operating in the area. I get a small commission on purchases made after following the links above which pays for the hosting, etc. It's a nice inclusion, but fans should be careful not to let Booth's participation be the defining reason to pick the set up.The Builders' sees Basil in hot water with Sybil when he employs an unreliable Irish labourer to do some work in the hotel lobby.

The Extras disc in the DVD box set contains a "hidden" short film clip, this page has more details and shows exactly how to access this item. Products labelled '*item fulfilled by Exertis on behalf of hmv' will be supplied to you directly by Exertis via their approved couriers. Excellent Fawlty Towers Collection which shows all the 12 original episodes as well as some other extra's. The other cast interviews are on the redundant side, especially Cleese's; the best part of the featurette is hearing about the experience from some of the smaller, peripheral roles, which is a change of pace from the rest of the extras.Series 2 episodes are: 'Communication Problems', 'The Psychiatrist', 'Waldorf Salad', 'The Kipper and the Corpse', 'The Anniversary' and 'Basil the Rat'.

THE KIPPER AND THE CORPSE includes 'The Kipper and the Corpse', 'Gourmet Night', and 'Waldorf Salad'.Gourmet Night' sees the Fawltys' attempt to throw a cultural evening fail when their chef hits the bottle. This is done with the normal sound reduced a bit in the background with the director commenting over the top.
