The cups are soft and fold down easily for use with my eyeglasses, or leave them up with my glasses off. Superb quality, high power binoculars with 15x magnification and Canon precision optics featuring an Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) lens element to reduce chromatic aberration and the Super Spectra lens coating that delivers vivid, high contrast view with accurate colours. My only complaint is that the eye cups are quite wide so for me they sre pressed hard against my nose when using them. You might just notice a faint jitter of the view and slight changes in the focus that I didn’t find too troublesome.

I never understand why Canon wouldn't just use the better eyecups from the 10x42 L IS throughout their IS range. This is the largest aperture available in image stabilized format, which makes it attractive for people in light polluted locations or those who like to push deeper with hand-hold binoculars.Their shake-free performance not only enhances your ability to view fine detail but also reduces eye strain and fatigue. maybe an invidual one from Nikon, Hasselblad, Zeiss-Ikon,etc, may be slightly better for a given focal length, but as a full line, they seem to be the tops (and real trendsetters as well).
