Karolina's Twins started slowly and built up momentum to the point I was so engrossed in finding out the truth, that I read the book through the night. First Lena has to spend time telling Catherine the lawyer and Liam the investigator the story of her life during those years of the Holocaust. The later parts of the story seemed to be almost written by a different author and turn into a poorly written novel .

She begins to recount a tale harkening back to her harrowing childhood in Nazi-occupied Poland, of the bond she shared with her best friend, the beautiful, vivacious Karolina. Husband and wife team, Liam and Catherine, a private investigator and attorney respectively are solicited by Lena to help her. I was thoroughly involved throughout, although I did think some aspects of the ending were a bit too neatly brushed over.
