Being a two-player trick-taking game each trick is incredibly fast, this is further reinforced by their only being three suits rather than the traditional four. The best tactic is to always throw away the best card you can and yet still lose, then try and manipulate the trump suit to be one you have little to no cards of. But if you actually work your way through that list, there’s no denying the quiet alchemy in each of them. Its theme is based on an original fairy tale by Alana Joli Abbott – a theme that leads to beautiful artwork of fairy tale characters and woodland creatures. For people who know nothing about trick-taking, this will be invaluable and should allow them to learn how to play the game pretty quickly.

The designers solved the difficult of making 2-player trick taking games, and also introduced a fun mechanic where winning by too large a margin resulted in a loss, which kept games intense and often allowed less skilled players to turn their early losses to their own advantage. This is just a very subtle variant on Hearts which is played with a standard deck of cards that can be bought for a pound and rules found online for free.These abilities are the same across all three suits so the 5 of Bells has the same ability as the 5 of Moons and Keys, for example.
