A friend of mine went to school to be a zookeeper and thought it really cool to see behind the scenes compared to what visitors see in public. Imprinting: When dinosaurs hatch, zookeepers have to pose as their respective species so the hatchlings can recognize their birth parents. While the premise of a dinosaur zoo doubtlessly brings to mind a certain Hollywood blockbuster franchise, Dinosaur Sanctuary is a Slice of Life piece that focuses on the day-to-day events at the zoo through its protagonist's perspective. Imagine a world where the impossible happened, and dinosaurs came back from extinction (Thanks, in this case, to a combination of the discovery of a lost island full of dinosaurs and genetic manipulation).
