About this deal

Like Rachel Lynn Solomon’s books, Business or Pleasure also has Jewish and mental health representation. The two share their own backstories willingly as well as for the sake of the memoir, but all these moments between the two where they share about themselves are emotionally sensual. And him being an actor added another layer of complexity because it tells us that celibrities are human, which i personally think that people forget and treat them as gods.

I want to save THE PARADISE PROBLEM for next year, but I may or may not devour this new romance from CLo over winter break ! There’s a lot of witty banter and teasing, but they also openly communicate and are incredibly kind gently honest with each other. Sometimes I will read the summary for a book and think that it sounds fun only to be punished for my hubris about three sentences in. No ow/om drama (there is discussion between them about prior experiences and h had recently had a ONS with a long term friend she had pined for) and neither were virgins. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Rachel Lynn Solomon knows exactly how to crank up the heat, and the chemistry between Chandler and Finn is hot hot hot. I think some people will appreciate the 'feminist' spice in this book (not just straight jack-hammering) but if I read one more dry humping scene where the FMC actually finishes I'm going to start an official petition to ban these words from literature. They’re going to collaborate on Finn’s memoir and agree to keep things professional—until Chandler lets slip that their night together wasn’t as mind-blowing as Finn seems to believe. As their connection grows deeper, they'll both have to determine if their arrangement is still strictly business.

Once they became closer, they were so supportive of each other and you could see what a solid and happy romance they'd have. This funny, delightful book will pull you in from the first page - a big-hearted celebration of sex, consent, and love. It has come to my attention that I haven’t written a real review in a while which is a shame because what do I like more than talking shit for three and a half pages? the travelling from comic con to comic con definitely give this a summer holiday feel, so this is a story to look forward to this june. Reeling from that interaction, and rejection from her longtime crush, Wyatt, she meets a hot guy at a bar and does something she’s never done before–has a one night stand.Again I have nothing bad to say about this book, I think everyone who loves romance should read it ( it checked all of my boxes; funny, sweet, swoony and steamy), it is definitely one of my favorites of this year, and I can not wait to see what is next from this author. Some other random things I loved about this story include the LOTR references, learning a bit more about comic-con, and the Jewish rep and mentioning the challenges/racism experienced in the entertainment/media industry. To put it in simpler terms, by saying “business before pleasure”, you’re saying your financial or work obligations take precedence over your enjoyment. I sit at a desk doing data analysis most days and I have a richer inner life than insomnia-curing-Chandler.
